How to Dress Well at Pitchfork Fest 2011 (more by Dominick Mastrangelo)
How to Dress Well

Brooklyn ambient popper How to Dress Well aka Tom Krell (who now calls Chicago home) is set to kick off a tour in June with Warp-signed Babe Rainbow and Aaron Read. That tour includes mostly west coast and Canada dates but it will come to NYC for a Brooklyn show on June 9 at Public Assembly. Tickets for that show went on sale this morning.

As Exclaim points out, Babe Rainbow (aka Cam Reed) and Aaron Read are on board to play live with HTDW at the shows, and the three musicians will be previewing some new material off of what will eventually become a new HTDW release. "This next album is about opening my heart, opening myself, to receive an address from myself I've been waiting for, for too long," said Tom of his new material.

In addition to assisting HTDW on stage, Babe Rainbow will also be open all dates on the tour. Check out a video of "It's All Happening" off his 2011 Endless Path EP with all dates below.

Blood Red Shoes @ MHOW
Blood Red Shoes

After Chris left the BV Loft Party all the way back on Friday, October 22nd, he headed over to Music Hall of Williamsburg for the Blue Flowers-presented CMJ showcase for a lineup of mostly UK bands including Chapel Club, Everything Everything, and Blood Red Shoes (who toured North America with Sky Larkin in October). Pictures from that show are in this post.

The occasion (to post these belated pics)? SXSW has already announced an initial lineup of bands playing in Austin from March 16-20, 2011, and Chapel Club is on that list (and I wouldn't be surprised of the other 2 mentioned bands end up coming too). Also on the list: Lia Ices, Braids, Asobi Seksu, Wye Oak, Suuns, Sun Airway, A Place to Bury Strangers and more. Full list under the rest of the MHOW pictures, below...

Delorean @ Glasslands in June (more by Chris Doss)
Delorean

MoMA's annual summer season of parties at PS1 in Long Island City, aka Warm Up, returns on July 3rd and there are lot of familiar names on this year's lineup. That is due in part to this year's curators being Dean Bein of True Panther Records, Jon Galkin from DFA, Kris Chen (XL), Ronan from LPR, writer Brandon Stusoy (Stereogum, etc), and Robin from Tri Angle. Check out the full schedule, directions and more info below...
