Philly riffers Sheer Mag will release their second 7" EP via Katorga Works later this year. Like last year's debut, it's greasy, sneery, late-'70s style rock n' roll: think Thin Lizzy, The Runaways or The Undertones. You can stream "Button Up" from the new EP as well as the whole first EP below.
The band, which features former members of Sirs and The Shakes will be on tour for the next two months, including NYC on Thursday (3/12) at 538 with Honey and Nancy. They're also playing the NY's All Right at The Acheron on April 18 with Bad Noids, Tapehead, and Gowanus Mutant Kommandos (tickets). And then they'll open for Ex Hex (a good sonic match, there) at Le Poisson Rouge on April 23 with Kuroma, and Roya playing as well (tickets).
All dates, including requisite stops in Austin during SXSW, are listed below...

All shows (including the "unofficial" aftershows) this year will be ticketed, and tickets go on sale this Saturday (2/14). So far, only the link for The Wick's show is up, but tickets for LPR should be up son on their site, and the others should soon be on Ticketfly. Full schedule below.
Tickets are also on sale for a Kromosom / Aspects of War / Mommy show happening April 12 at Acheron, which isn't a NY's Alright show, but is a week earlier and entirely made up of bands playing the fest.
