Multi-venue NYC hardcore festival New York's Alright returns from April 16-19. Since we last spoke, the schedule was posted, and it includes shows at Acheron, Le Poisson Rouge, Saint Vitus, Palisades and The Wick. All shows (including the "unofficial" aftershows) this year will be ticketed, and tickets go on sale this Saturday (2/14). So far, only the link for The Wick's show is up, but tickets for LPR should be up son on their site, and the others should soon be on Ticketfly. Full schedule below.

Tickets are also on sale for a Kromosom / Aspects of War / Mommy show happening April 12 at Acheron, which isn't a NY's Alright show, but is a week earlier and entirely made up of bands playing the fest.

Get out your studded leather, annual hardcore punk fest New York's Alright is returning in 2015 from April 17-19 at various NYC venues. This year's lineup has a lot of the local repeat offenders like Ajax, Anasazi, L.O.T.I.O.N., Warthog and more; as well as Boston's Aspects of War and Contingent, Austin's Glue, Melbourne's Kromosom, Tokyo's Isterismo and Raw Distractions, Philly's Sheer Mag, Malmo's Heratys, Oslo's Urbanoia, and more, plus a few more TBA. Tickets will be available on Valentine's Day (2/14). Full lineup below.

There's also a kickoff show happening April 16 at Acheron with Toronto's S.H.I.T., Texas' Vaaska, Ajax, Raid and "special guests that may or may not be announced."

Cleveland post-punks Pleasure Leftists already have a few impressive releases on labels like Deranged, Katorga Works and Fan Death, and they've been playing new material at the shows on their current tour. That tour hits NYC on September 12 at Acheron with another Katorga Works band, Ivy, plus Lawsuits and Mercury Rising. Tickets for that show are on sale now. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, you can catch Ivy again at the Acheron on October 11, this time with yet another Katorga Works band, Warthog, as well as Bad Noids, Party Plates and Mr. California. Tickets for that show are on sale too.

Dawn of Humans at 285 Kent, December 2012 (more by Lukas Hodge)

After teasing us with a promise of an "international punk and hardcore" fest in NYC, organizers have announced New York's Alright 2013. The festival will happen April 18 - 21 in NYC and will feature everything from local favorites like Perdition, Goosebumps, Crazy Spirit, Dawn of Humans, Hank Wood & The Hammerheads, to names like Double Negative, Culo, Who Killed Spikey Jacket?, Stagnation, The Rival Mob, Hoax, and many many more. Full lineup announcement is below, individual show lineups and venues are still TBA.

Both Hoax and Warthog, who are on board for the NYC fest, play with Inmates at Acheron on January 12.

Crazy Spirit

NYC hardcore favorites Crazy Spirit headlined a show at Tommy's Tavern on 4/13, joined by Cleveland's Bad Noids as well as Goosebumps and Mutant Genes. Here are some pictures from the show (none of Goosebumps or Mutant Genes though).

Next up for Crazy Spirit is an appearance at Acheron on 4/21, where the band will support the great White Lung on one of their two NYC dates on their East Coast tour.
