Kaytranada & Vic Mensa
Last year, Montreal producer Kaytranada signed to XL and said he'd be releasing an EP on the label. He since decided to turn that into a full album, and while details like a title and release date are still TBA, a new single came out not long ago featuring past collaborator Vic Mensa. It's called "Drive Me Crazy." You can listen, with previous single "Leave Me Alone" (ft. Shay Lia), below.
Kaytranda also has a bunch of tour dates coming up, including a few festival appearances. This month, he'll be at SXSW where he'll play the Ray-Ban/Boiler Room show which he curated. Aside from Kaytranada himself, the show also features sets from Madlib, Ghostface Killah, Rae Sremmurd, STWO, Shash'u and Badbadnotgood. No venue announced yet, but it goes down Wednesday (3/18) from 9 PM to 2 AM. Apply for a ticket here. Listen to the mix STWO made for the show, below.
Vic Mensa also plays SXSW, including the Chicagomade showcase with Twin Peaks and others.

Panda Bear is a week away from releasing his new album, Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper (due 1/13 via Domino), and two days before it comes out he'll play a Boiler Room-presented NYC show at MoMA PS1 on Sunday (1/11), part of the museum's Sunday Sessions. The one-off show goes from 3:30 PM to 6 PM, and will feature Panda Bear joined by his frequent visual art collaborator Danny Perez's work. Tickets are on sale now, and if you can't make it, you can strema it live via Boiler Room.
Panda Bear has been rolling out his new album by premiering tracks from it on different radio shows this week. You can check out the newly-premiered "Sequential Circuits" on Mary Anne Hobbs' BBC Radio 6 show. It starts at the 1 hour 23 minute mark. Video for lead single "Mr. Noah" below...

Flying Lotus at Coachella 2012 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Flying Lotus is about to welcome his new album, Until the Quiet Comes next week (10/2) via Warp. As the album title implies, it's a "quieter" record than the maximalist Cosmogramma, but it's just as fleshed out and compelling. You can stream the album ahead of its release date at NPR. The video for "Putty Boy Strut" can be watched below.
As mentioned, FlyLo will be supporting the album with a tour that hits NYC on October 7 at Terminal 5 with Thundercat and other Brainfeeder artists. Tickets for that show are still available. That's the first date club date on his tour, but he's since revealed that the tour will kick off with a "take over" of LA and NYC surrounding that date.
In NYC, he'll appear at the Warp booth at the Brooklyn Flea Record Fair on October 6, where he'll be signing copies of his new album. That's free and the booth will be open from 11 AM to 6 PM. The day after the T5 show, he'll play a Red Bull Music Academy Takeover for Boiler Room NYC (10/8) with a great lineup of Questlove, Flatbush Zombies, Just Blaze, Joey Bada$$ & Pro Era, and The Underachievers. That show is guest list only but you can watch it live at boilerroom.tv. On October 9 he'll partake in the "Meet the Musician" series at Apple Store SoHo where he'll give a talk and also perform. That show runs from 6-8 PM and is free but space is very limited.
Lastly, he'll do two events on October 10, including the East Village Radio Takeover, where Flying Lotus and Brainfeeder artists Gaslamp Killer, Martyn, Dorian Concept, Jeremiah Jae, Taylor McFerrin, and The Underachievers will take over two hours of air time on East Village Radio from 2-4 PM to preview their showcase which happens later that night at new Brooklyn venue Villain (50 North 3 St). That show is also presented by the Red Bull Music Academy and features the same lineup (UPDATE: FlyLo is not confirmed) as the radio takeover plus "very special guests." No ticket info for this show at the moment.
An updated list of Flying Lotus dates and the video for "Putty Boy Strut" are below.
