"Hello Spring. Hello, all you gorgeous pink blossoms. And hello, crowds.A set of pictures from some of Saturday's action (the festival also happened on Sunday) are in this post. They continue below...I'll admit, I can't remember if we ever went to the Cherry Blossom Festival at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden before (that's what happens when you get old, you know. You start forgetting stuff). I also think this to be true because I would think that I'd remember all the Cosplay dress up action, you know? Can someone tell me when this all started? I don't really get the connection between the two, other than the festival being a celebration of Japanese culture, so hey, let's dress up as anime and manga characters and walk around the gardens yielding larger than life cardboard samurai swords. Whatevs. It was cool." [sweetfineday]
