You might know Merton as the YoutTube sensation piano playing guy that plays on Chatroulette and was rumored to be Ben Folds but then Ben Folds sort of proved he is not Merton by covering Merton. The previously announced The Tallest Man On Earth tour is now underway, stopping in NYC on Tuesday 4/20 @ Highline Ballroom. Tickets are still on sale.

The opening band will be the Portland, Oregon trio, and Kristian's Dead Oceans label-mate Nurses who are on tour with The Tallest Man On Earth until May 15th. Both bands then meet up again at the now sold out Sasquatch Festival (May 29th - May 31st). On February 23rd...

"NURSES played a one-of-a-kind show, performing via webcam on ChatRoulette, the latest cyber-craze. For the uninitiated, ChatRoulette randomly pairs up participants for a one-on-one video chat, meaning that to find Nurses on the site, you had to venture through some uncharted (and very NSFW) waters. Using 15 computers to stream the show via ChatRoulette, the band played a wild set for some unsuspecting internet surfers. The band has since edited a version of new and unreleased song "So Sweet" into a music video, documenting the fun that went down on the internet that night."

Holy Fuck will take a break from Chatroulette (which they used to announce their new record, Latin, presumably to random underwear clad users from around the world) for their ton of shows in Austin this week. One of those is the BrooklynVegan/M For Montreal day party on Saturday (3/20) at Galaxy Room. Their full, remainuing schedule is below.

For those in NYC, there's no news of a show yet, but they have put out an MP3 for the song "Latin America," off the new record, which you can get above. The disc comes out May 11th on Young Turks/XL Recordings.

Eugene Mirman: One thing I love most about living New York is that you can walk out of your apartment at any time of day, go into almost any type of restaurant, point at someone and fuck them in the bathroom with no questions asked. It's so cool how up for anything New Yorkers are.

Eugene Mirman and Friends performed comedy (and went on Chatroulette) at the Bell House on Saturday, February 27th as part of the Friends of Celebrate Brooklyn membership campaign. The 'Friends' included Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Showalter, Marc Maron and Kristen Schaal.

Eugene pulled up Chatroulette again Tuesday night at Union Hall which is where his next Tearing the Veil of Maya show (with friends, again) is scheduled for this Sunday, March 7th.
