Chic ft. Nile Rodgers playing benefit at Brooklyn Bowl this week
Nile Rodgers and Chic continue to enjoy a resurgence (kickstarted partially by Nile’s Daft Punk collaboration “Get Lucky”), having gone on a tour of massive venues with Earth Wind & Fire earlier this year. Nile Rodgers and Chic will tour Australia in 2018 with Lionel Richie, but first they’ve got a very intimate show in NYC this week, way more intimate than the MSG show they played with EW&F over the summer.
They’ll play the Stampede of Sound benefit on Thursday (11/2) at Brooklyn Bowl, also with NOLA brass band The Soul Rebels on the bill. Tickets start at $200 and “all proceeds will fund ON-THE-GROUND PROJECTS to protect African elephants and their habitat.”
The Soul Rebels have been busy this year as always, having played NYC a bunch of times including a big Prodigy tribute in Prospect Park.
