"anyone else at TV on the Radio show last night? Great time...except for having to sit my large pregnant ass on woodchips for several hours." - ChowMamaStacie

TV on the Radio

Chin Chin, Gang Gang Dance, and TV on the Radio played a show at the Prospect Park Bandshell in Brooklyn last night (8/11). For TVOTR, it was the second time they headlined the Park Slope stage, though this time wasn't free. They also played a not-free show at Central Park Summerstage earlier this summer. Speaking of not free, Bao had some trouble getting through the Prospect Park gates, so unfortunately no pictures of the openers, but the rest of the shots of the headliner, and a video, are below....

TV On The Radio @ Summerstage (more by Natasha Ryan)
TVOTR

With a "special improv set" on deck for July 7th (tix here), Gang Gang Dance have announced another noteworthy show for the coming months (thx texastab). Along with Chin Chin, they'll be opening for TV On The Radio at Prospect Park in Brooklyn on August 11th. Tickets are still available.

Both TVOTR and GGD are going festival-apey over the summer, with GGD logging shows at Rosklide (with St Vincent), Fuji Rock (with Tortoise), Oya, and Bumbershoot while TVOTR hits T In The Park (with Phoenix and Yeah Yeah Yeahs), Oxegen (with Mogwai, YYYs), Outside Lands, and Lollapalooza.

Kyp Malone of TVOTR is releasing a solo album. TV On The Radio recently played a rainy Summerstage (much like Explosions In The Sky) with Dirty Projectors. Dirty Projectors recently dropped a video for "Stillness Is The Move" and were in a van accident (but are OK)

All tour dates are below...
