"Moon Duo will release a new full-length album Mazes on March 29 via Sacred Bones Records. The vinyl edition of this LP is hand silk-screened and comes with a 22" x 22" reversible poster. Moon Duo (Ripley Johnson of Wooden Shjips and Sanae Yamada) are currently on the road in support of that new LP which you can sample by downloading the title track above (right over the cover art).

Maybe you caught Moon Duo at Cake Shop last night (3/26) with Jacuzzi Boys. Maybe you'll catch them at Knitting Factory in Brooklyn tonight (3/27) as part of a a pretty great bill that also includes Coconuts (who released an LP on No Quarter exactly a year ago) and The Stepkids (who recently signed to Stones Throw).

DOWNLOAD: Coconuts - "Sliver Lights" (MP3)

Dark tribal rhythms awash in dreamy landscapes are the name of the game for the NYC via Australian crew Coconuts, who are the cusp of releasing their new and self-titled LP due on No Quarter. I hear My Bloody Valentine, Spacemen 3, Godflesh, and even The Birthday Party.

In celebration, the band will play Public Assembly TONIGHT (3/26) along with Endless Boogie, Silk Flowers, Amen Dunes, and the Purple Brain DJs. Coconuts and Silk Flowers are also scheduled to team up to play Death By audio on April 4th with Drip House and Infinite Body.
