NYC dance party FIXED is ringing in the new year at Cameo Gallery with AVAN LAVA, Juan Maclean (DJ), Justin Strauss, Evan Michael, Alan + Andrew Blancato, Mondo Indie Dance Party and FIXED regular JDH. Tickets for that party are on sale now.
French disco house producer Para One, who we highlighted earlier this year, is returning to NYC for a NYE party at Slake that also includes Gesaffelstein, Brodinski and many more. Full lineup and more info here.
Electro rapper Spank Rock will celebrate NYE at El Privado (518 W. 27th St.) with Amanda Blank Roxy Cottontail, Good Peoples and DJ Baby Eagle. Tickets are on sale.
And lastly, Blkmarket and ReSolute are teaming up with Output for a lengthy NYE party there with a huge lineup that includes Mathew Dekay, Avatism, Jimmy Edgar and many more. Full lineup and tickets here.

Q-Tip with A Tribe Called Quest during SXSW 2013 (more by John Sculli)
Q-Tip has been added on as special guest DJ for tonight's Lauryn Hill show at Music Hall of Williamsburg, possibly her last in NYC for some time. Tickets are still available. If you feel like doubling up on your dosage of The Abstract, head to his residency at Cielo, "Boogie Back Tuesdays," later on. Tickets are still available for that as well.
In addition, Q-Tip has signed on to DJ The American Museum of Natural History's One Step Beyond party on June 7 along with Nickodemus and DJ Eleven. Tickets are still available.

Less than a month before Park Slope club Southpaw is gone forever, and Southpaw mainstay DJ team The Rub has announced that after their final party at Southpaw this Saturday (2/4), they're moving to the bigger Bell House down the street (relatively speaking). A-Trak @ Fool's Gold Records the store
'This past weekend Fool's Gold record company opened the doors to their brand new retail store in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We attended the opening day reception which we got to check out the store's merchandise and actually meet with the Fools Gold artists. In the store people got a chance to meet the founder of the label DJ A-Trak and Fools Gold's newest signee rapper Danny Brown from Detroit. The Fool's Gold Store carries music, clothing and all sorts of Fools Gold memorabilia. There is even a large backyard space which will be used for future events there, make sure you visit the store on 536 Metropolitan Ave. [Jungle Gym]The Fool's Gold store opening party happened on Friday, June 26th. The pictures in this post are from that night. You can also watch a video about the store below. The space, which was already their office for a couple of years, is now a real store and "open Monday-Saturday from noon until 6pm, happily serving all your Fool's Gold music, gear and general swag-related needs."
