Detroit's annual electronic music festival Movement returns this year from May 23-25 (Memorial Day Weekend). The phase one lineup was announced and it includes Snoop Dogg under the name DJ Snoopadelic, Richie Hawtin, Disclosure, Dog Blood (aka Boys Noize and Skrillex), Carl Craig, Matthew Dear, Danny Brown, Ben UFO, Clark, Fort Romeau, Nina Kraviz, People Under the Stairs, Rone, Shigeto and more. Tickets are on sale now.

As usual, newish Williamsburg dance club Output has a ton of great upcoming shows, including James Murphy, Rustie, Zomby, SBTRKT (DJ set), the just-mentioned Duke Dumont show, and a number of Bunker parties. A bunch of other good shows were recently announced too, including...
German producer DJ Koze, who released Amygdala, an excellent guest-filled album with Caribou, Apparat, Matthew Dear, Milosh (of Rhye) and more, this year, will play an "extended set" at Blkmarket's daytime/night time party at Output on August 10. That party also includes sets from John Roberts (live), Carsten Jost, Taimur & Fahad, and Ostrich. Tickets for that one are on sale now. You can stream Amygdala in its entirety below.
Resident Advisor is throwing a party at the venue, that will sprall across the main room and the Panther Room, on August 3, which includes sets from Robert Hood as Floorplan, Shifted, Holly Herndon, MGUN, Marcellus Pittman, Joey Anderson, and more TBA. And lastly (for now), one of those Bunker parties we were talking about above is an especially notable one happening on August 2 with Demdike Stare headlining. NYC party The Bunker is celebrating its tenth anniversary this week on Friday (1/4) at Public Assembly, where they've been throwing their parties for the last 5+ years. The party will take place in both Public Assembly rooms with all four Bunker resident DJs (Derek Plaslaiko, Bryan Kasenic, Mike Servito, and Eric Cloutier), in addition to Reagenz aka Move D (live), Spacetime Continuum, Silent Servant, and Vatican Shadow (live). Tickets for the party are on sale now.
Vatican Shadow (aka Dominick Fernow, formerly of Cold Cave, and also the brains behind Prurient) released the album, Ghosts of Chechnya, back in October via Hospital Productions. You can stream the track "Chechnya's Ghosts Loom Large in Death of Former Spy" from that album below.

Lindstrom is currently on a tour which brings him to NYC on Friday (5/25) for the previously discussed Webster Hall show with Simian Mobile Disco (tickets). That tour will also bring him to Detroit's Movement Electronic Music Festival this weekend where he'll play alongside Public Enemy, Actress, SBTRKT, Major Lazer, Gold Panda, Nina Kraviz, Matias Aguayo, FaltyDL, AraabMUZIK and more. Speaking of electronic music festivals, Mutek goes down in Montreal from May 30 - June 3. The Mutek lineup includes Kode9, Nicolas Jaar, Clark, Blondes, Apparat, Shlohmo, Shackleton, Stephen O'Malley & Tim Hecker, Biosphere & Lustmord, and more. The full lineup is listed below.
In related news, as mentioned, Apparat will come to NYC after Mutek for a show at Gramercy Theater on May 31. It's since been announced that Sleepyhead will open that show. Camp Bisco 9, the three-day Upstate music fest put on by Disco Biscuits in its ninth year, will be happening July 15th-17th in Mariaville, NY, about 3 hours north of NYC. It's set to have two main stages, a DJ tent and a late night dance tent, and the initial lineup includes LCD Soundsystem, Ween, Girl Talk, Major Lazer, Diplo, Thievery Corporation, Gift of Gab and more. All of the currently announced acts are below.

P.S.1 has announced the lineup for its annual series of Saturday afternoon dance parties in Long Island City. Last year's program featured live music and DJ sets by James Murphy, James Chance & the Contortions and Tony Conrad to name a few.
