Duran Duran have announced their All You Need Is Now US tour in pieces, taking to twitter, youtube, and everywhere in between to announce the fall dates. The trek will kick off in late September in California with opener Neon Trees and eventually make its way to Madison Square Garden on October 25th. Tickets go on AMEX presale at 8AM on Thursday (8/25) and regular sale on Monday 8/29 at 11AM.

Duran Duran released their latest LP All You Need is Now in late March of this year, and in honor of Duran Duran Appreciation Day (what?!? you didn't have your calendar's marked?!?) the band released the "Night Version" of one track, "Other People's Lives". Download that above, and check out a video for the title track from All You Need is Now below, beside all tour dates.

Duran Duran @ Central Park Summerstage (more by Ryan Muir)

DURAN DURAN--SIMON LEBON (vocals), NICK RHODES (keyboards), JOHN TAYLOR (bass), and ROGER TAYLOR (drums)--have announced they will roll out the Red Carpet one last time in 2008 with 11 shows beginning December 1st in San Antonio, TX and ending at the newly renovated Wellmont Theatre in Montclair, NJ on December 14th. Hitting some of the places they were not able to play on their last extended run, DURAN DURAN is back to close out 2008 in 'red carpet style'.

Crosby, Stills & Nash; Mavis Staples, the experimental Brooklyn rockers Battles and Black Dice; DanceBrazil; and the Mexican pop singer Julieta Venegas will be among the performers at Central Park SummerStage this year, the City Parks Foundation has announced. Crosby, Stills & Nash will play on July 29 in one of the six paid benefit concerts during this 23rd SummerStage season. The other performances, along with the Afro-funk scion Seun Kuti and the vintage-soul revivalists Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, are free, beginning with Ms. Staples's concert on June 13. The complete lineup will be announced in April.

Duran Duran are touring and playing Central Park Summerstage twice in May. Tickets are on pre-sale (password = 542418). All dates below....

Duran Duran's Red Carpet Massacre

"Due to the broadway strike the Duran Duran shows scheduled for Monday, November 12th and Tuesday, November 13th at the Ethel Barrymore Theater have been moved to Roseland Ballroom. Roseland Ballroom is located at 239 West 52nd Street
All tickets purchased for November 12th and November 13th shows will be honored. All tickets from Saturday, November 10th show will also be honored. Tickets are on sale now for Roseland Ballroom."

Some songs on Duran Duran's new album Red Carpet Masscre feature contributions from Justin Timberlake and Timbaland. The first single "Falling Down" was co-written and produced by Justin. The video - which mocks celebrities like Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, and Amy Winehouse - was originally filmed with semi-nude models. I don't think the X-rated version is out yet, but the toned down one is below.....

In an unprecedented move, British superstars, Duran Duran, have today confirmed that they will play nine shows on Broadway over a two week period in celebration of the launch of their upcoming album, ‘RED CARPET MASSACRE’, which will be released November 13 on Epic Records.

Performing for over two hours a night on November 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 12 at the Barrymore Theatre on 47th Street and Broadway, band members Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes, John Taylor and Roger Taylor will take audiences in this historic thousand-capacity venue on a musical journey, presenting their new record in its entirety, as well as classics such as ‘Rio’, ‘Save A Prayer’, Hungry Like The Wolf’ and ‘Ordinary World’, with magnificent production values and a completely new stage show. These concerts will be the band’s first dates in support of their exciting new release, which they have worked on over the past year with Justin Timberlake and top producers Timbaland and Nate ‘Danja’ Hills.

Squeeze is touring, and tickets are now on sale for a 2nd NYC date at Nokia Theatre. (thx Thighs)

The Police kicked off their reunion tour in Canada, and they've added another NYC show.

I know nothing about this band, but file this in the "band that plays MSG may be playing a small venue" category. Somebody told me that "Exposed Youth" at Knitting Factory on June 4th is O.A.R. under a fake name. Google reveals that "Exposed Youth" was O.A.R.'s old name or something.

As you know, Duran Duran is playing a fan club show at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC on June 17th. I have two pairs of tickets to give away. Do you want to win them?
