The Rapture

The American Museum of Natural History's One Step Beyond series, which just had Dirty Projectors last month, is continuing on February 17 at Rose Center with DJ sets by Prefuse 73 and The Rapture. Tickets are on sale now.

It's The Rapture's last North American show/event before their Japan/Australia tour which kicks off later this month. All Rapture dates are listed below.

Prefuse 73 are one of many collaborators on the upcoming Flaming Lips collaborative Record Store Day release, which also includes Bon Iver, Erykah Badu, Nick Cave, Death Cab for Cutie, Yoko Ono, and many others. You've already heard Prefuse 73's collaborations when the 4-track EP was released last year, but The Flaming Lips have been rolling out more previews of the upcoming release. Erykah Badu and her 11-piece producer collective The Cannabinoids will release their debut album "at the top of 2012," according to Dallas Observer, who also note that the collective's members include:

Symbolyc One (lauded of late for his production work with Kanye West, Jay-Z and Beyonce, Picnictyme (producer of A.Dd+'s phenomenal When Pigs Fly), Badu's longtime musical director R.C. Williams, longtime Badu producers Jah Born and Rob Free (both of whom have worked with Badu since her 1997 debut, Baduizm), DJs Big Texas and A1, and drummer Cleon Edwards.
Erykah and the Cannabinoids will be playing some shows together next month that includes a NYC date at Best Buy Theater on December 4. Tickets are on sale now. Only a few other dates have been announced, and are listed below.

Lilith Fair

Lilith Fair, which has been dormant since 1999, will reform this year for a North American tour this summer. Exact dates and venues are forthcoming, but the ongoing list of confirmed acts is impressive (though they won't all play every city). The lineup currently includes Beth Orton, Cat Power, Emmylou Harris, Erykah Badu, the Gossip, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Heart, Indigo Girls, Janelle Monae, Ke$ha, La Roux, Lights, Loretta Lynn, Mary J. Blige, Metric, Miranda Lambert, Norah Jones, Rosie Thomas, Sarah McLachlan, Serena Ryder, Sheryl Crow, Tara MacLean, Tegan and Sara.
