NWOBHM favorites Diamond Head have returned to our shores, and will hit the road for a string of US dates in April. The UK crew will team with Canadians Cauldron and Brohammer for a show at Saint Vitus on April 12. Tickets are still available.
On a similar note, another band associated with NWOBHM, Raven will play a few select US dates as well, including Saint Vitus on April 21 with A Sound of Thunder and Brohammer. Tickets are still available.
In other news, doom greats Iron Man will play a one-off date at The Acheron on April 13 with Revelation, Seizure Crypt and Sonic Pulse. Tickets are still available and full set of dates are below along with a stream of their latest LP.

Mutilation Rites have added a last minute show with Slaughter The Prophets, Exshitence, Nerve Gas Attak, Hell Bent and Crusty P at The Swamp (258 Johnson) TONIGHT (12/7):
Mutilation Rites playing a benefit show at 258 Johnson tomorrow night - used to be the Lake. Its now called "The Swamp." It goes to a kid named Tomasz who got hit by a drunk driver on his bike and is now in a coma.In other news, Providence noise oddballs Tinsel Teeth play a two night stay in NYC this weekend, logging shows at Death By Audio tonight (12/7) with Necking, Lushes and Psychic Blood; and 255 McKibbin Lofts on Saturday (12/8) with BIG UPS, Osekre & The Lucky Bastards, Advaeta and Yeah Well, Whatever.

Support for Von show at Saint Vitus on Tuesday (12/11) has been announced, including Magic Is Küntmaster and Anicon, the latter of which features Owen Rundquist (Trenchgrinder) and Lev Weinstein (Krallice). Tickets are still available. Swing below for streaming Anicon tracks, it's worth a listen.

Celebrate Hardcore Gig Volume 200 with a blowout bash at Acheron on 10/27! Boston hardcore greats Boston Strangler will team with Perdition, Waste Management, Crazy Spirit and Prisoner Abuse to celebrate the milestone as part of an all ages event on 10/27.

Drugs of Faith at Death By Audio, March 2012 (more by Fred Pessaro // BBG)
In addition to the Bad Powers/Sannhet/The Year is One show at Saint Vitus and Krallice/Mutant Supremacy/Feast of The Epiphany show at Acheron tonight (9/21), the great Drugs of Faith will take to the stages of Tobacco Road with Drones for Queens, Spirit of Saint Louis and Mother Brain.
Deiphago will team with Manticore, Abazagorath, Trenchgrinder and Infiltrator for a show at Acheron on November 17. The show is the end of the line for their US tour, though full schedule is still on the way.
Hoax have been added to the previously discussed D-Clone show at Acheron on October 6. Absolutely unmissable.
Panzerfaust will take on Acheron on October 17, joined by Syphilitic Lust and one more TBA.

Inter Arma have signed to Relapse Records. The band is planning a new LP for the label in the new year, and will head out on a string of tour dates that will kick off with their appearance supporting Pallbearer at Knitting Factory on September 11 (tickets). Full tour schedule is listed at the bottom of this post. Inter Arma played our 2010 CMJ showcase alongside another great young band, Royal Thunder (who will also play the Knitting Factory bill).
Barn Burner will head out on a string of dates supporting Gallows that will include a stop at The Studio at Webster Hall on November 3. Tickets are on sale and all other dates are listed at the bottom of this post. The band recently released the new NSFW video for "Scum of the Earth," which you can watch below.
And finally, Akimbo have called it quits. The band has "half of a record completed" but so far no plans to release that material... who will step up to the plate?

Thanks to everyone who came out to 285 Kent last night. It was pretty insane, and I couldnt have done it without the perpetually down boys in Trash Talk, OFWGKTA, the amazing staff of 285 Kent and Todd P. But most of all, thanks to everyone who came.

Greetings from Maryland Deathfest! I'll be reporting from the festival all weeked, catching some of the greatest metal bands today in downtown Baltimore over the four day weekend, so I'll keep it brief this week. If you aren't at MDF, there is still a multitude of great shows going on in NYC. Make sure to tune in to BrooklynVegan for the latest coverage from the festival, and enjoy yourself at the shows below!
If you didn't get tickets for the previously discussed Merzbow/Wold show at Saint Vitus on 6/4, you are in luck. Though the first performance is now sold out, they have added a second on that same night, doors at 10:30 and tickets are on sale.
