When was the last time you saw these two in the same room together?

So is Fucked Up really fucked up?More from that great interview, on F'd Up's blog.
Fucked Up: Great question, you are off to a fantastic start.......
Did you see my mother's uncel? my grandma said he lives in canada but i think he is just a polish.
Good question - is he lost?Is feist a real person or it's just Chan Marshall singing in canadian?
She is real - we have met her. She used to crash at our roadies apartment before she was famous. She was also in a punk band (see above, number 7). We are on the same label as Chan Marshall but the boss said we are not allowed to ever meet her because she is crazy.......
I also heard you're christmas ep. I have some questions about that:
A/1 how does Nelly Furtado smell?
She did her vocal track for that session in an isolation booth and came too and from the studio in an airplane, and a limo dropped her right into the booth. So we could see her and give her instructions, but we could not smell her or really talk to her, only through a microphone.A/2 does she snort cocain? She looks like she not but i have this idea that stars are taking all kind of drugs and drinks behind the cameras and papers just because it's so evil to con their catholic fans. I mean i bet homer simpson is a drunk child beater when the cameras don't roll.
Again, we don't know, but I could ask her next time I see her.
When Fucked Up isn't releasing an album, talking about Feist, Cat Power & Nelly Furtado, or doing interviews slagging their former label, the band is scheduling tours... like the one for this fall in the northeast and parts of the midwest. That tour includes a two night stand in NYC with Vivian Girls. The first show is October 15th at Bowery Ballroom (also with Mind Eraser) (on sale 8/8 at noon). The next one is the next night at "Harket Motel".
And in keeping with the F*** theme, F***ed up noted that they'll be traveling (on at least part of the tour) in the same vegetable oil-powered bus that the F*** Yeah Tour used on their month-long trek. F***ed Up are also playing the F*** Yeah Fest in LA. All tour dates below.
Fucked Up's new album, The Chemistry Of Common Life is due on October 7th. Pre-order it here. This is what the cover looks like...

We are touring in a 92 bluebird bus that is converted to veggie oil. 28 shows in 27 days. Every band, comedian, artist, and friend is crammed in this bus. 26 of us total. There is no leg room to sleep or air conditioning. This shouldn't work. We are suppose to breakdown somewhere, get in a group fist fight and that's how this bad idea is meant to end but someone it's all coming together. Hopefully we will make it to the last show. - Sean CarlsonA video trailer and more pictures from the tour so far below....

Long Beach, California's Crystal Antlers have been getting a lot of buzz lately with the release of a new EP. You can listen to some songs on MySpace and check them out at one of their many upcoming shows including three in NYC. The first NYC one is an Other Music in-store on July 7th. The second is a Friction show at Mercury Lounge on July 8th that Chairlift and Religious Knives are also playing. Tickets for that one are on sale. The third is a "loft party with Monotonix" on July 12th - an afterparty for the F Yeah tour show happening at Highline Ballroom that day. And though they're not playing either of the F Yeah Tour regular shows in NYC, they are playing shows on that tour in many other cities.
Sean Carlson is the guy behind the Fuck Yeah Fest, the Fuck Yeah Tour, and is also half of the team that does the now-annual Mess With Texas festival in Austin during SXSW (the other half is Transmission Entertainment, who btw just launched a fancy new website). I saw Crystal Antlers at Mess With Texas this year. It's a bit of a blur, but I remember they were wacky, their clothes were coming off, and I didn't know who they were at first because they were a last minute addition and the schedule still said the band who was originally playing in their time slot. More pics by Ryan from that show, and all tour dates, below....

You can get tickets for the July 13th "Circle Jerks, Dillinger Four, Japanther, Matt & Kim, Team Robespierre, Monotonix + special guest + comedians TBA" show. You can also still get tickets for the same show happening in Manhattan one day earlier. More details on the tour that kicked off yesterday in Baltimore, HERE.
28 shows in 28 days. June 17th - July 13th

F*%! Yeah Fest is an annual music/comedy/art festival held in Los Angeles at the end of each summer curated by 22 year old Sean Carlson and Keith Morris from The Circle Jerks & Black Flag. This year will be the fifth installment and it will take place in an outdoor setting in downtown LA on August 30th & 31st and will now be known as F Yeah Fest. It's been Carlson's goal for some time now to take the festival on the road, bringing the spirit of the festival to other cities, and now for the first time that dream has become a reality with the first annual F YEAH TOUR '08, featuring many bands and comedians that have become staples / favorites at the festival. The Fest will be touring in a 44 passenger '92 Bluebird Bus. The only goal for this tour is to have fun.The NYC shows are Circle Jerks, DILLINGER FOUR, Matt & Kim & Team Robespierre @ Highline Ballroom on July 12th (TICKETS), a Monotonix show at a TBA location later that night, and a show at Club Exit in Brooklyn the very next day with every single one of those bands. BrooklynVegan is an official F Yeah tour partner which means we'll be documenting their 28-day adventure in some form or another (stay tuned for exact details). All dates and lineups below.....
