Kurt Cobain in his homemade Flipper shirt vs Forever 21's version

Forever 21 is under fire... this time for selling a shirt designed by Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain, who committed suicide at his Seattle home in 1994.A video from that episode of SNL below...No, Cobain wasn't much of a fashion designer. But he knew how to use a magic marker, which is how he made the noted Flipper band T-shirt he wore during a 1992 performance on "Saturday Night Live."
Earlier today, a replica of the shirt was retailing on Forever 21′s website for for $16.90. The shirt has since been pulled from the site, meaning Forever 21 might not be too keen on fighting legal battles over items that cost less than $20.-[SeattlePI]

August 25th, 2009 (Austin, TX) - Transmission Entertainment is pleased to announce the lineup for the 2009 Fun Fun Fun Fest, taking place on November 7th and 8th at Waterloo Park in Austin. Fun Fun Fun Fest made its first appearance on a cold Friday evening in 2006, offering a unique approach to festival booking, filling stages with talent bubbling from the underground: what sounded great, and what was making an impact, regardless of what mainstream media said was cool. What started out as a show for a few touring acts and local favorites has become a movement -- a festival that fans and bands alike realize needs to be experienced year after year.Greatest. Festival. Ever...Now in its fourth year, Fun Fun Fun Fest has made a significant impact on the country's winter calendar, successfully combining the vast worlds of indie, punk, rap, electronica and comedy while showcasing some of the city's most unique local businesses.

It appears that the entire Flipper tour is no longer happening. Every date that was listed on MySpace is gone. According to "Anonymous | September 20, 2008 2:28 PM", the band says it's because Krist Novoselic (of Nirvana fame) has left the band. Knitting Factory is offering refunds (via Ticketweb) for the NYC show. Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin is looking for a replacement act.
