2 shows tonight @ Brooklyn Bowl, 1 last night in Medord NJ...

Dan Deacon in Medford, NJ - Aug 1, 2009

Dan Deacon, Deerhunter, and No Age were supposed to play a 'round robin' show in the giant space that is the Williamsburg Waterfront today. Due to rain, that 'Pool Party' got moved to Brooklyn Bowl which only holds around 600 people. That meant a lot of people were going to get shut out, so they awesomely added a 2nd show (also ALL AGES).

The late shows starts at 10pm. Everyone from the 6pm early show will leave, and then they'll start letting people in for the late show. Those who are on line for the early show, but don't make it in, will get wristbands that guarantees them a spot for the late show.

Flying W Airport & Pool in Medford, NJ

We previously mentioned the two "pool party" stops on the upcoming No Age/Dan Deacon/Deerhunter tour. One will be at the Williamsburg Waterfront on August 2nd. The second will be in Medford, NJ, at a place called the Flying W Airport & Resort on August 1st. Tickets for that show are on sale.

Unlike the "pool parties" last summer at McCarren, or the ones this summer at the Williamsburg Waterfront, it looks like the Flying W party, located not far from Philadelphia (R5 is co-promoting), will actually involve a pool (that has water in it) (and that is shaped like an airplane) (see above).

And that's not the only "Flying W Pool Party" at the resort this summer. The spot is also hosting at least three more events, the first of which is an edition of Making Time with a whole host of DJs including Dave P, listed below. That'll happen this Saturday, June 27th. Tickets are on sale. The other two currently scheduled gigs at Flying W are another Making Time on September 5th, and "TBA" on September 19th.

"When we talked with No Age's Randy Randall recently, he explained that his band's forthcoming tour with Dan Deacon and Deerhunter wouldn't simply be a round robin, with each band taking turns. Instead, all three bands will collaborate on a seamless piece of music, with everyone helping out with everyone else's songs: "We're looking to really kind of meld together the ideas that currently exist in one band's song, and then augment them, either by having other members play together or adding something new to the song that'll transition to another song. So you'll still hear Deerhunter and Dan Deacon and No Age songs, but they'll be boosted in a way by having other members play in them as well." [Pitchfork]

A total of seven of these collaborative dates have been announced, and one is in Pennsylvania, one is in New Jersey, and one is in Brooklyn, NY.

The Brooklyn show is Sunday, August 2nd at "Jelly Space 2009". That of course means it will be a free show at the Williamsburg Waterfront! The NJ show is one night earlier, and... HERE! Maybe there will be Pool Parties again this summer afterall..
