Behold... The Arctopus at Siant Vitus (more by Fred Pessaro // BBG)
Behold.. The Arctopus and Helen Money will cross paths on a pair of tours at Saint Vitus on March 22 (tickets), with Helen Money eventually looping back to play The Acheron on March 24 with A Life Once Lost and the great Author & Punisher (tickets). The Acheron show is the close of A Life Once Lost and Helen Money's respective tours; Saint Vitus is the close of Arctopus's current trek. Tour dates for both are below.
Japanese hardcore killers Forward have cancelled their US tour. Bummer.

Crossover/hardcore crew Iron Reagan, who we profiled here, have added another date set to blast off on Feb 25 at Saint Vitus with Meek is Murder and NARC (tickets). The show is in addition to the previously-discussed date at The Acheron with the mighty Trenchgrinder (tickets).
Invisible Oranges also has the scoop on U.S. tour dates for Japanese sleaze artists Abigail, who will bypass NYC (bummer) on their way to Chaos in Tejas from MDF. Details are HERE.

Crusty Japanese hardcore favorites Forward (ex Death Side) return to our shores for a string of dates that kick off on the East Coast, heading southbound toward the storied Austin, TX festival Chaos in Tejas. The dates mark two US tours in as many years, following last year's stop for the same festival and subsequent DVD of the trek.
Forward recently released the "Devil's Cradle" / "What's the Meaning of Love" 7" via 540 Records. Copies of that are still available.
All known tour dates for Forward, who will do many of their shows with PDX's Long Knife, as well as ripping video of the maniacs in action, are below.

Japanese hardcore greats Forward will hit the road for a string of West Coast/Southwest dates in the days following their appearance at Chaos in Tejas. The crew, which contains ex and current members of Insane Youth, Deathside and Smash Detox, is preparing two reissues and a new 7" via Prank Records (home of that debut Smash Detox 7"); Look for 2000's Just Go Forward To Death and the What's The Meaning of Love singles collection just in time for their appearance at Chaos. All dates are listed below.
In semi-related news, the previously discussed D-Clone tour routing has been revealed and it includes a SECOND NYC stop a few days after the October 6th Acheron show. Though no venue has been revealed, they'll play somewhere in NY on October 11th with Perdition and Nomad. All tour dates and some video below....

Chaos in Tejas (May 31-June 3 in Austin) have announced ANOTHER batch of bands to add to their ridiculous lineup including Saint Vitus, Church of Misery, No Statik, Toys That Kill, Pegasus, Martial Canterel, Anasazi, Bloodwing (mems of The Spits, who are on tour soon), Harm's Way, Hatred Surge, the Hex Dispensers, John Wesley Coleman, Joyce Manor, and many many others. The current full lineup and flyer is below and tickets are FINALLY going on sale TODAY (1/31).
Doom legends Saint Vitus are currently preparing their new LP Lillie: F-65 for Season of Mist. The record, their eighth and first in seventeen years (!), is tentatively set for release at the end of March. More details are forthcoming.
In related news, members of Mind Eraser also serve as personnel in Magic Circle, another Chaos in Tejas band. Look for Magic Circle to team with Pilgrim (who we recently interviewed), Windhand, and Natur at Public Assembly on March 1st.

Volume 8 of the incredible Chaos in Tejas will go down on May 31st through June 3rd in Austin, Texas, and this year and much like last, its chock full of incredible rare appearances from across the punk, crust, indie, and metal world. Among the announced are crust legends Antisect, The Mob (UK), the reformed and final lineup of Nasum, Best Coast (who recently got a new drummer), Tear it Up (who recently reunited in NYC), Varukers, Winter, Iceage, Forward, Ghoul, Double Negative (who play NYC next week), and so much more.
