SXSW has just announced another round of bands for the 2013 edition of the annual music festival that will happen March 12 - 17. This brings the total current number of acts to around 1300. Someome of the highlights include Vampire Weekend, Frightened Rabbit, The Thermals, Black Lips, Camera Obscura, Merchandise, Bleached, Mr. Muthafuckin' eXquire, Eagles of Death Metal, Parenthetical Girls, Indians, Night Beds, IO Echo, KEN Mode, Prince Paul, Pure Bathing Culture, Sepalcure, UK motorik post-punks TOY, Finnish instrumentalists K-X-P, Toronto's Moon King, UK indie rockers Splashh (not Brooklyn Splash with one "h") and loads more. Though there may be another release of tickets, the 2nd annual electronic music cruise Holy Ship!! sold out before any acts were announced. Or to be more specific:
Everyone who purchased a pre-book for HOLY SHIP!! will receive a token May 22 with a booking time to reserve a cabin. Only one pre-book is valid per cabin. Cabins can be booked by token holders anytime after the token goes live up until June 20. Token holders who do not book by June 20 are no longer guaranteed a cabin. If any cabins remain after this initial booking period, those who are on the wait list will be contacted.If the rest of the cabins aren't taken by those on the waiting list, then they'll be released to the general public.

Diplo released the "Express Yourself" 7" this month, the single for that track from his EP of the same name. You've already seen the video for that song, which features bounce artist Nicky Da B, and below we're offering a stream of the single's b-side, "Move Around" (featuring Elephant Man and GTA). That's the cover art for the 7" above. Pick up a copy on green vinyl.
Diplo, Grimes, Skrillex (one of the greatest guitarists of all time), Tokimonsta, Pretty Lights, and others are set to head out on the Full Flex Express Tour, a tour of Canada on a train modeled after The Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin, and The Band's 1970 Festival Express tour.

Although the Full Flex Express tour doesn't come to the US, Diplo, Skrillex, and Pretty Lights will all be in NYC later this summer for Electric Zoo, which returns to Randall's Island from August 31-September 1. Tickets are on sale now. The full lineup is listed below. Skrillex will also be in the NYC area for Bamboozle this weekend.
Speaking of electronic dance festivals in New York, the Electric Daisy Carnival will occur at MetLife Stadium this weekend from May 18-20. The lineup includes MSTRKRFT, Richie Hawtin, Fatboy Slim, Bassnectar, and others. Tickets are available. Full lineup below.
In more related news, the touring Identity Festival, whose lineup was a bit better last year but certainly bigger this year since it sold out in less than 24 hours, returns to NY on July 28 at Jones Beach. Artists playing include Datsik, Eric Prydz, Nero, and more. Full lineup below.

As previously mentioned, the HARD Summer Music Festival will invade Los Angeles on August 6th. It's now been revealed that the LA date is also part of a larger tour entitled HARD Summer Tour 2011, which will bring Digitalism, Jack Beats, Caspa, Destructo (natch), and Gesaffelstein across fourteen cities in August. NYC's Terminal 5 (natch) will host the tour-closing dance party on August 20th. Presale tickets for Terminal 5 (and multiple other dates) are on sale, and stay tuned for general sale to hit Ticketmaster too. All dates are listed below...
