Annual metalhead destination Maryland Deathfest announced its initial 2016 lineup last week, and today the festival revealed its second round of bands. The additions are Craft, Dead Church, Excel, General Surgery, Grave Miasma, Hemdale, Impaled Nazarene, Infernal Revulsion, Mystifier, Negative Approach, Sanitys Dawn and Yacopsae.
They join Venom, Bongzilla, Bongripper, Samael, and more previously announced bands. Stay tuned for the next batch of tickets to be released. Updated lineup below...
Grave Miasma at Martyrdoom 2012 (more by Fred Pessaro)
UK death metal greats Grave Miasma will follow-up their stellar EPs with a debut full-length due on Profound Lore/Sepulchral Voice in September. Odori Sepulcrorum is the band's first release with the much revered Canadian label (PL), and features "Ovation To A Thousand Lost Reveries" which is streaming below.

Grave Miasma / Dead Congregation at Martyrdoom 2012
The inaugural Martyrdoom festival at Public Assembly on Saturday (6/30) was a resounding success, showcasing 11 death-metal-tinged bands hailing from Greece to the UK to New Jersey. Kicking off at 8PM and coming to a close shortly after 2AM, the two-stage fiesta featured rare appearances from Cruciamentum, Dead Congregation, Grave Miasma, Sanguis Imperem, Encoffination, Father Befouled, Prosanctus Inferi and Anu, as well as apperances from Evoken, Kommandant and Perdition Temple.
The show was one of two last weekend for Dead Congregation and Sanguis Imperem, who also played Saint Vitus on Sunday (7/1). Lots more pictures from Martyrdoom -- plus a few videos -- are below.
