Hessismore gets remixed by Prince Rama & others on new EP (stream a track), playing four nights at Nublu

Hessismore released their new funky, ecclectic album Myheadisaballroom / Whoneedsapalaceanyway earlier this year and are about to set forth a companion EP of remixes all done by women. (Hessismore’s current eight-piece lineup is all men.) Lorna Dune, Pollyester, Anna Clyne and Prince Rama will all put their particular spin on songs, and you can stream Lorna Dune’s take on “Bearsong” below. The EP will be out in early 2015.

When Myheadisaballroom / Whoneedsapalaceanyway was released, Hessismore celebrated with a five-night run at NYC’s Nublu. Mikkel Hess and his other seven bandmembers, who are very good live, will return to Nublu for four nights: November 20 – 23. Lorna Dune will be the opening act for all four shows and tickets are on sale now.
