Wyatt Cenac at Prospect Park, August 2012 (more by Jessica Amaya)
In a post titled "Starting Mondays in November until Littlefield realizes they've made a huge mistake", Wyatt Cenac, who spent this weekend at Fun Fun Fun Fest, details the plans that will likely drive Gowanus venue Littlefield toward financial and social ruin.
Comedian Wyatt Cenac ("The Daily Show," "King of the Hill") and Producer Marianne Ways ("Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen"), in conjunction with Littlefield, are proud to announce the start of new weekly comedy showcase NIGHT TRAIN WITH WYATT CENAC. Hosted by Brooklyn-based comedy favorite Wyatt Cenac, the show will feature comedy from the best local and international stand up comedians, and will at times feature new and established musicians, local celebrities, and occasional surprises that can only be found in Gowanus.Night Train begins today (11/5) at Littlefield with special guests Eugene Mirman, Jessi Klein, Jeffrey Joseph and J.R. Havlan, and tickets are still available. Tickets are also on sale for shows through the better portion of 2012, including on 11/12 with Gary Gulman, Jerrod Carmichael, Seaton Smith, Erin Judge "+ more".
Of course all of this reconfirms the end of Kurt and Kristen's weekly Hot Tub Variety Show at Littlefield, which held its last Monday show in October. RIP to Hot Tub, but we're looking forward to Night Train.

Screaming Females at BV SXSW 2011 (more by Tim Griffin)
Ted Leo was a special guest at Hot Tub with Kurt and Kristen at Littlefield Monday (6/27). According to Nate Buchik, "Last night, Ted Leo said they were performing Tyranny of Distance in its entirety at the South Street Seaport on July 9." That would be appropriate since the classic album turned 10 years old on June 19, but note that we were also told that Ted said he was "PROBABLY" playing the album. We'll let you know if that changes to "definitely." Hot Tub continues every Monday at Littlefield with different special guest comedians and musicians each week.
Ted's free South Street Seaport show is now being opened by fellow New Jerseyans Screaming Females. They just finished up their tour with Against Me! and Lemuria and only have a few other scattered dates at the moment. One of those dates is The Fest 10 in Gainesville, Florida which Ted is also playing (and which is sold out).
Ted recently taped a series of solo performance videos in "Room 205" for Incase. Watch those, with all tour dates and other videos below...
