YACHT in Iceland
YACHT

YACHT have a date with Austin at Fun Fun Fun Fest this weekend (where we have a show of our own), and will follow-up those dates with a stint on the West Coast with Yo Gabba Gabba! (!!). The Oregonians will then level the playing field by playing a string of East Coast dates a month later, including a stop back in NYC at Santos Party House on December 3rd. Tickets are on sale. YACHT's last NYC show was at Dekalb Market in Brooklyn in October.

YACHT was one of several bands who flew in to play sets at Iceland Airwaves last month. In fact they played it twice. Check out more pictures from both of their Iceland sets, and more tour dates, below...

Today is the third day of Iceland Airwaves in Iceland.

In October Secret Chiefs 3 play the Iceland Airwaves Festival with Bjork (she was just announced and will be doing a Biophilia performance), Austra, Beach House, Liturgy, SBTRKT, Suuns, Olof Arnalds, Tune-yards, John Grant, and many others. Full lineup at their site. The festival runs from October 12-16 and takes place in downtown Reykjavík. Bjork will also play five more shows in Reykjavík in October. Iceland

As previously mentioned in an Iceland post and a "Tickets on sale" post, Mum are playing some shows. Mum are also playing the 2007 Iceland Airwaves Festival (October 17 - 21, 2007).

Since the first show held in 1999 (in an airplane hangar), Iceland Airwaves has become one of the premier showcases for new music – Icelandic and otherwise – in the world. It's been called "the most innovative music festival since CMJ" and "as responsible for all of Reykjavík's recent positive press as Björk herself".
Best Fwends, !!!, Annuals, Bloc Party, Bonde Do Role, Chromeo, Of Montreal, Ra Ra Riot, and others are also playing. Reyka Vodka is offering the chance to win a trip over there. The latest set of MUM tour dates below....
