What better way to enjoy winter's chill (with global warming, we don't talk about harsh winters anymore!!!) than to spend a few evenings outdoors warming up the brain and loosening the muscles?

For the 3rd year, Igloofest will take over the Jacques-Cartier Pier for 6 evenings of pure wintry, festive fun on January 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31, 2009!

Co-produced by Piknic Electronik and the Quays of the Old Port, you are invited to the igloo kingdom to enjoy performances from the best artists of the electronic scene, a unique and punchy audio-visual ambiance, a wacky ski suit competition, and an electrifying atmosphere that is guaranteed to give you the hottest nights of winter!!!

Modeselektor will visit North America in January to play at least two shows. Igloofest takes place in Montreal on Friday January 23rd, and one day after they play that, the German techno group will visit NYC again, this time to play Bowery Ballroom. $23 tickets go on sale Friday.
