Metronomy recently released "Resevoir" as the new single from their fourth album, Love Letters. The original is a very understated bit of synthpop, but they've also handed it over Jacques Lu Cont (aka Stuart Price of Les Rhythms Digitales/Zoot Woman as well as Madonna's Confessions on a Dance Floor) who turns it into a driving dancefloor banger. (It's very Zoot Woman.) Stream that below.

The band have hit NYC twice already this year and will be back for another go-round this fall. While there hasn't been a full tour announcement, Metronomy will be playing Irving Plaza on September 18 and Warsaw on September 19. Tickets to both NYC shows go on sale Friday (6/27) at 10 AM but your first chance to get them will be with a BrooklynVegan presale on Wednesday (6/25) at 10 AM. Check back Wednesday morning for the password.

TOY @ BV SXSW 2013 (more by Sarah Frankie Linder)
TOY

UK motorik shoegazers TOY were supposed to play NYC back in March while the band were coming over for SXSW. The Austin shows happened (like at one of our SXSW day shows) but NYC didn't -- a personal bummer to this writer, as their debut album was one of my favorites of 2012. Good news, TOY will be stopping in NYC on their way to the Corona Capital Fest in Mexico City, playing Glasslands on October 10. Tickets to that show go on sale Friday (7/26) at 10 AM.

The Corona Capital Fest happens October 12 & 13 at Mexico City's Hermanos Rodriguez Autodrome. You can check out the line-up -- which includes Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, QOTSA, Vampire Weekend, The xx and more -- below and tickets are on sale now.

TOY video and Corona Capital Fest flyer are below.

Coachella

Coachella which is taking place over the course of two weekends this year (April 13-15 and 20-22) revealed their 2012 lineup. Last week, Azealia Banks was the first artist confirmed, and earlier today they confirmed The Weeknd (maybe he found a band?), and before that, Jimmy Cliff, Breakbot, and Housse De Racket. The reunited Pulp then announced itself. The full lineup also includes headliners The Black Keys, Radiohead, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg, not to mention, as predicted, the reunited At the Drive In and the reunited Mazzy Star (!), and Madness and Refused (!) and Jeff Mangum and many, many more that you can see below...
