Thursday night I went to the Plant Music party at 105 Rivington. The music was great, but the party could have been a little more crowded, though in all fairness it was still early. A little before midnight I had to head out to make it to Le Poisson Rouge to see Black Strobe and Arnaud Rebotini...or so I thought. When I arrived there a little after midnight the bouncer was telling everyone that they had just canceled and also said that perhaps if we had been there earlier it wouldn't have happened...

So...I went back to 105 Rivington. The music was still great. The Golden Filter had just dropped Zongamin's remix of Playgroup's "Make It Happen" as I walked in. Throughout the night pretty much everyone was playing great mixes of super current electro along with some oldies but goodies like that one. The place had also filled up considerably...though the crowd was a very weird mix of people. All in all a good night, despite the Black Strobe hiccup. On to Saturday night (5/16) and beyond...
