As discussed, Dover, Delaware's annual Firefly Music Festival is returning this year and has expanded to a four-day festival happening from June 19-22. Since we last spoke, the lineup has been announced and it includes Outkast, Foo Fighters, Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, Band of Horses, Chance the Rapper, Courtney Barnett, Iron & Wine, Phantogram, Phosphorescent, Sky Ferreira, Sleigh Bells, Tegan and Sara, tUnE-yArDs, Washed Out, not to mention everyone's favorite festival act Jack Jackson as one of the headliners. Tickets go on sale Monday (1/20) at noon, and VIP passes are already on sale.

Caveman at Webster Hall in April (more by Dominick Mastrangelo)
As you probably know by now, CMJ starts today, and local indie pop band Caveman are doing a number of shows for it this year, and all of them (at least what's currently announced) are free.
The band will start their CMJ run today (10/15) at Rockwood Music Hall for a Communion-presented show with U.S. Royalty, Tor Miller, and Duologue. The show's totally free. Set times below.
They play another Communion show on Friday (10/18) at Henry, A Liquor Bar (356 W 58 St). This one's an all-acoustic show, and features stripped down sets from Caveman, along with Bad Suns and James Bay. Also free, and RSVP is open now. Caveman's on at 8:30 PM, and the full schedule is below.
Then, they'll play a free Bowery Presents showcase that next day (10/19) at Pianos with Drowners, Clear Plastic Masks, Landshapes, Eagulls, Bear Mountain, Spires, Most Thieves, Kodaline, Jacco Gardner, and Kan Wakan.
And then finally they'll play a Wild Honey Pie showcase at Cameo on Saturday (10/19) with Empress Of, French Horn Rebellion, Joywave, Hockey, Little Daylight, TV Girl, Belle Mare, Highs, Wilsen, How Sad, and Deidre & The Dark. Free tickets are available.

The 15-name nominee "longlist" is up for the BBC's "Sound of 2013" poll that includes The Weeknd, Savages, HAIM, King Krule, Palma Violets, AlunaGeorge and Angel Haze. Full list is below. If you're wondering how The Weeknd, who have sold out Terminal 5 here in NYC, can be up for something like this, here's some of the criteria:
They must not have had a UK top 20 single or album by 11 November 2012.The nomination/voting panel is made up of " newspaper and magazine editors and critics, producers and presenters from music radio and televison, website editors and bloggers" if you were wondering. Last year's winner was Michael Kiwanuka.
They can be from any musical genre and any country.
They must not already be famous i.e. generally known by the UK public, (e.g. member of a hit band going solo, or soap star). They must not have got through to the quarter, semi or final rounds of UK reality shows such as X Factor in the last 3 years (i.e. 2010 onwards).
They must not have featured in the BBC Sound of list previously (See an alphabetical list of previous nominees here)
"New" means new to the general public. They may have been around for a while if you believe they are ready to step up to the next level of quality & recognition.
