Latyrx releasing long-awaited second album w/ production from tUnE-yArDs, Chris Funk & more, release new song (listen)

Deltron 3030 aren’t the only alternative hip hop group making a long-awaited comeback this year. Bay Area duo Latyrx (aka Lyrics Born and Lateef the Truth Speaker) are planning to release the followup to their sole album, 1997’s The Album, on November 5. The album, appropriately titled The Second Album, features guest appearances by Zion I, Busdriver, The GIft of Gab, Corey Glover (of Living Colour), and more, in addition to production by tUnE-yArDs, Chris Funk (of The Decemberists), Jel (of Anticon), and more.

The album’s newest single is the laid back cut “Exclamation Point” (produced by and featuring Forrest Day), which is out today and makes its premiere in this post.
