Magda Davitt (fka Sinead O'Connor) shares first new music in 4 years (listen)

Magda Davitt – formerly Sinead O’Connor – has shared her first new music in four years. She debuted the demo of a new song called “Milestones” on The Irish Sun, and you can listen to it there. She worked on the song with producer David Holmes, and told the Sun, “David wrote the music. I wrote the lyrics and melody. This is just a first demo for fans because they never get to hear a demo. I thought it would be fun to share it.” Holmes said on Facebook, “ok so I wasn’t expecting this track to be heard so soon as it’s a demo so it’s not finished but it’s out there and I’m very proud of it. It’s a new exclusive track by Sinead O Connor that I co wrote and produced in my studio in Belfast. I’ll never forget the moment she sang this for the first time. It was a jaw dropping moment.”

Magda also told the Sun she’s working on a new album, called No Mud No Lotus, but that it won’t be out for at least another year. She announced a pair of spring tour dates back in March, but they wound up being cancelled due to “unforseen circumstances.” No makeup dates have been announced at this time.

Magda’s last album was 2014’s I’m Not Bossy, I’m The Boss, released as Sinead O’Connor.
