Though most of the lineup has yet to be revealed - except for King Krule, Metronomy (who also play MHOW), Purity Ring, Fat Trel (pictured above) and Bleached (more on them in a sec), this year's CMJ Fader Fort RSVP is up and running for their 10/21 and 10/22 shows at 443 w 18th St in Manhattan. More details, including the lineup, TBA soon.
Those dates are the same as the two free BrooklynVegan parties happening at Public Assembly in Brooklyn (no RSVP required), though Fader Fort runs 2-9pm, and the BV parties are from noon-6pm.
Vice's Noisey party with Twin Shadow happens at Santos Party House on the night of 10/19, and as previously mentioned, Twin Shadow are also playing another show which is now announced and is also free and also requires RSVP. The newly-announced show also happens at night, but on Saturday, 10/22, at Le Bain. It's the "Making Time" party and Seekae is also on the bill.
Making Time is FIXED's Philly sister, and FIXED have a CMJ party of their own as well. Their showcase will take place at Public Assembly on 10/19 with Teengirl Fantasy, Still Corners, Lemonade, Chad Valley, Radio People, Warm Ghost, CFCF (DJ Set), and Resident DJs JDH & Dave P (who also DJs Making Time). Tycho was originally scheduled to play this showcase but has since cancelled all of his CMJ shows in favor of a single pre-CMJ show happening at MHOW this Sunday. Tickets for the FIXED show are on sale.
Matthew Dear @ MHOW in 2008 (more by Bao Nguyen)

As mentioned, Pitchfork will be hosting three days of shows at Brooklyn Bowl during, but-it-looks-like/probably completely unaffiliated with, CMJ this year (Thursday/Friday/Saturday CMJ week). "Brooklyn Bowl is located at 61 Wythe Avenue between N. 11th and N. 12th streets. The festival starts at 2 p.m. each day, with doors opening at 1 p.m. Tickets are $10, both in advance and day of the show." They're calling it the #OFFLINE Festival.
Based on the lineups and start time, it looks like each #OFFLINE day will be about a 12 hour show. No set times yet though, but the full lineups and ticket links are below...
Matthew Dear is one of the biggest names on the list (he plays Saturday), and it will be one of three CMJ week shows for Matthew. His third is later on Saturday at Public Assembly for the FIXED/Making Time Party with Matthew Dear, Crocodiles, Holy Ghost!, Javelin, Gold Panda, Jamaica, and Kisses.

LCD Soundsystem @ Sasquatch Festival 2010 (more by Chris Graham)

LCD Soundsystem still don't have any NYC dates coming up (maybe they're holding out for a big announcement?), but they will be in the area (if you're willing to drive to take a bus/train/plane). The band is spending the rest of August and part of September in Europe before returning to the US for a September 24th show at Naval Cruise Terminal at the Philadelphia Naval Yard. The lineup also includes Sleigh Bells (who just played Governors Isle) and DJs brought by the Making Time party (who are co-presenting it). Tickets are on sale.
LCD and Sleigh Bells play the Virgin Mobile FreeFest the next night (9/25) at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland, and other dates. They're all listed below.
Shows after that include an October 1st show at Hamilton College in Clinton, NY (not sure if it's open to the public) and more across the country, before a return to the UK in November. The first leg of those US dates is with Sleigh Bells, the second is with Hot Chip, who play Central Park SummerStage tonight (8/4) with Hercules & Love Affair and Holy Ghost.
Speaking of Making Time, they'll be hosting a repeat of their 2009 pool party (at an actual pool) at the Flying W Airport and Resort in Medford, NJ on Sunday, August 15th. Deerhunter will again play with DJs, swimming, etc. Tickets are on sale. Deerhunter play a free NYC show at Pier 54 on August 12th.
LCD videos and all tour dates are below...
Glass Candy

If there's such a thing as an earthy disco queen, it's Ida No.Glass Candy plays a NXNE show on Thursday, June 17th (tonight) with Trust at Wrongbar. The silken-voiced singer for cosmic beat-pumping duo Glass Candy isn't as urbane as you might expect. In fact, many of her lyrics, melodies and themes are inspired by hikes in the lush tree-lined hills that surround her Portland home.
"I go on really long walks and won't come back for four hours," says No. "I'll go for a walk and a theme will come up or I'll get overcome by a feeling."
She then conveys these vocal lines to long-time musical partner Johnny Jewel, who writes and composes Glass Candy's analog-synth-based jams. These writing sessions have become a long-distance affair of late. Jewel recently relocated to Montreal to be with his romantic interest. [Now Magazine]
Glass Candy will be in NYC for a July 2nd show at Highline Ballroom with DJ Mike Simonetti (the head of Italians Do It Better, their record label) and Xeno & Oaklander. Tickets are on sale.
Two days after NYC, Glass Candy will join Sleigh Bells for an Independence Day show at Bamboo Bar in Philly. The "Making Time" party is part of Sleigh Bells' July tour that leads up their show at Governors Island with M.I.A.. Sleigh Bells also play the free Creators Project shindig on June 26th (which is now "sold out").
Tons of Glass Candy's electro-pop is streaming on their official Facebook. Videos and all tour dates are below...
Simian Mobile Disco @ Williamsburg Waterfront 2009 (more by Bao Nguyen)

Simian Mobile Disco will be DJing at Fixed's March 11th party at (Le) Poisson Rouge. The show will be first of a quarterly (4x a year) residency for the UK duo at Fixed. Tickets for the first date are on sale. The other exact NY show dates are still TBA.
SMD have some other DJ sets planned too - a few in March around the LPR show, and a few in May around Sasquach. Presumably that will also be around the time when their second quarter NYC show happens, possibly at Santos Party House where six more Fixed parties are already scheduled. Full list below.
The video for their song "Cruel intentions," which features Beth Ditto on vocals, is below. It was on their latest record, Temporary Pleasure, which came out in August 2009 on Wichita Recordings. In February, SMD released an EP, Extra Temporary, which "compiles the four tracks from the bonus second CD of Temporary Pleasure, along with the two bonus tracks from the iTunes version of the album." The video, all tour dates, a flyer and the upcoming Fixed schedule are below...
"The management of the Flying W have decided that our radness is just too much for their family establishment..."
members of !!! take a dip...

!!! embark today (September 3rd) on a short East Coast tour, dates below. The band will stop this Friday at Terminal 5 for the first night of Warp20 with Battles, Flying Lotus and Pivot. Tickets are still on sale.
Two days later, on September 6th, !!! will play Jersey/Philly's final Making Time Pool Party of the summer (remember, the Dan Deacon/No Age/Deerhunter pool party with an actual pool?). Plans for the Making Time party have been shuffled a bit after the Flying W Pool and Resort dropped out as the venue. The September 6th show will be happening, but not there - not even in Jersey. Instead, Bamboo Bar in Philadelphia (which has a pool of its own) will host the event. Also in house will be resident DJs Dave P, Mike Z and many others.
Check out a video put together for the event, the flyer, the story behind the gig and all !!! tour dates, below...
Flying W Airport & Pool in Medford, NJ

We previously mentioned the two "pool party" stops on the upcoming No Age/Dan Deacon/Deerhunter tour. One will be at the Williamsburg Waterfront on August 2nd. The second will be in Medford, NJ, at a place called the Flying W Airport & Resort on August 1st. Tickets for that show are on sale.
Unlike the "pool parties" last summer at McCarren, or the ones this summer at the Williamsburg Waterfront, it looks like the Flying W party, located not far from Philadelphia (R5 is co-promoting), will actually involve a pool (that has water in it) (and that is shaped like an airplane) (see above).
And that's not the only "Flying W Pool Party" at the resort this summer. The spot is also hosting at least three more events, the first of which is an edition of Making Time with a whole host of DJs including Dave P, listed below. That'll happen this Saturday, June 27th. Tickets are on sale. The other two currently scheduled gigs at Flying W are another Making Time on September 5th, and "TBA" on September 19th.
Full lineup for the June event, with a flyer and more details, below...
