DOWNLOAD: Purity Ring - "Obedear" (MP3)

Purity Ring, who are now Mark Hoppus of Blink-182 approved, announced their signing to 4AD earlier this month, and that their debut LP will be out on July 24. They've since announced that the album will be called Shrines, revealed the cover art (above), tracklist (below) and the first new song from the album, "Obedear," which you can download above or stream below. The album also includes their three previously released songs, "Belispeak," "Ungirthed," and "Lofticries."

You can pre-order the album as LP/CD at the 4AD webstore. "The first 200 customers who order will receive a limited edition individualized instant photo shot on impossible film taken by the band. LPs will come on limited color vinyl and include a download code."

Purity Ring have a few festival appearances coming up, including Sasquatch!, NXNE, and Pitchfork Fest. They'll also tour with Dirty Projectors surrounding both bands appearances at P4K Fest. As mentioned, that tour includes a NYC show on July 10 at Prospect Park with Wye Oak. Tickets are still available.
