Happy Holidays! I take on more than I can handle. That results in a lot of unposted content. In the name of catching up, while also taking it easy during this final week of the year, here's some of that lost material.

It's not a party in SoHo unless the fire marshals turn up. And New York's Bravest were out in force Wednesday for the mob scene at Paper magazine's bash inside the Hilfiger Denim Store on Broadway.

Motley rockers mixed with hipsters for the launch of a denim collection designed and inspired by former Ramones drummer Marky Ramone, who performed with his new band Blitzkrieg. Marky was the very model of downtown dishevelment as he mingled with guests including Tommy, Andy and Ally Hilfiger, Sean Stewart, Russell Simmons and Mick Rock. [stylelist]

"I was home most of the day and bored shitless, so I decided to head out to Mercury Lounge [on Wednesday, 7/22] to see a random classic rock/hair metal-ish show, having never heard of any of the bands on the bill. During ZO2's set, they brought out the following guests on consecutive songs, back-to-back:

1.) John Popper on harmonica for what sounded like a ZO2 original;

2.) Marky Ramone on drums for a cover of Zeppelin's "Good Times, Bad Times;"

3.) The lead dude from that hair metal thing on Broadway, Rock of Ages, for a cover of Bon Jovi's "Dead or Alive" (with the guitarist donning a Jimmy Page-esque double neck Gibson);

4.) One of the Steves that was at some point in Journey on guest vocals for a song I didn't recognize. No, it wasn't Steve Perry, you wiseass. One of the other ones." [Tuddd's Muddd]

ZO2 are the stars of the IFC network tv show, Z Rock. The Rock Of Ages guy was Constantine Maroulis who became famous on American Idol. More pictures Z02's set below...

Yo La Tengo Hanukkah 2008 @ Maxwell's in Hoboken

That is the list of special guests and openers from this year's 8-night Yo La Tengo Hanukkah concert run at Maxwell's in Hoboken. The eighth night of Chanukah (aka the last show) was December 28th and three nights later The Feelies and Vivian Girls opened for Yo La Tengo at their New Years Eve show at Wellmont Theatre in Montclair (making their grand total nine shows this holiday season).

How was the New Years one? Did anyone go to all nine shows? Other thoughts? Memories? Best night? Anything?
