Wynn Walent & friends in Haiti
Singer-songwriter Wynn Walent no longer lives in NYC, so the show he's playing this Thursday night (1/10) at Littlefield with Great Elk and Matt Singer is a rarity, but it's more than that. The reason Wynn has been so scare around these parts is because he's spent most of the past three years dedicating his life to Haiti Earthquare relief, a cause that this particular show is also raising money for. Tickets are on sale, or will be at the door. Head out and show support, and learn more in an article Wynn wrote for Huffington Post, and in a video starring Wynn, below...
Wes, Jay Mankind, Matt Singer, Casey Shea, Derek James & others
Big announcement! Wes and I [Jay] have decided to make some big changes to Cross-Pollination. Amid a swirl of emotions, the last shows at Pianos are upon us. We'll be downstairs for the next six weeks wrapping up what some (we) would call a legendary era. We've invited back many old friends and faves. Here's how it looks so far:Just six more Cross Pollination shows at Pianos in NYC. For those not familiar, CP brings two singer-songwriter types together for individual sets followed by live collaboration (aka "cross pollination"), and they've done it 293 times so far and it's always 100% free. So what next? Well, they said Cross Pollination will continue, but where and when? "That's coming into focus. We'll let you know as blurry colors become sharp lines." Congrats in advance for 300 shows guys.
