We already told you that the 2013 edition of Wilco's Solid Sound Music & Arts Festival will go down June 21 - 23 at MASS MoCA in North Adams, MA. The line-up has now been revealed and includes sets from Yo La Tengo, Os Mutantes, Low, The Dream Syndicate, Reggie Watts, onetime Miracle Legion frontman Mark Mulcahy, Neko Case and more. And Wilco, of course. "Early Worm" tickets are sold out but you can still get "Early Bird" and regular three-day passes here.

Charles Bradley at Firefly Music Fest 2012 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
As we've mentioned before, Charles Bradley, whose second album for Daptone is out in April, used to spend time as James Brown tribute act, Black Velvet. And still does occasionally.
Black Velvet play Brooklyn Bowl on Wednesday (2/13) back by Jimmy Hill & The Allstarz Band and The Gold Magnolias. Tickets are still available.
UPDATE (2/12): The Black Velvet show is cancelled. Bummer!
Meanwhile, still no word on tickets to Bradley's scheduled NYC show at The Apollo on May 16. He still has it listed in his tour dates but the Harlem venue doesn't have it on its online calendar as of this posting.
In related new, Soul Rebels will take over Brooklyn Bowl for the three nights following (2/14 - 2/16). The group, who were recently the house band at the NFL Honors Awards Show, will have guest Karl Denson plus openers Royal Surprise with them on 2/14; guests Pedrito Maritnez and Maurice Brown plus openers The Slide Brothers on 2/15; and John Medeski and Igmar Thomas plus openers Alecia Chakour Band on 2/16. Tickets to all three shows are still available.

Medeski Martin & Wood have just announced a week-long December residency at The Blue Note from 12/11 - 12/16. The band are performing two sets each night (8 PM and 10:30 PM) and special guests include Nels Cline on 12/12, Marc Ribot on 12/13 and Bill Evans on 12/14, with other guests still to be announced. Reservations for tables are available now.
The trio will release their new album, Free Magic, on September 25 via their own Indirecto label. Before their Blue Note residency, MMW will be on tour in October which hits the Bergen PAC in Englewood, NJ on 10/7 (tickets), Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, CT on 10/10 (tickets), and The Paramount in Huntington, NY on 10/12 (tickets). Other Undead performers include Medeski, Martin & Wood at Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Thursday (5/10) and a multi-venue "Night of the Living DIY" on Friday (5/11) which includes the previously mentioned Bjorkestra show at the new Shapeshifer Lab (which meanwhile is hosting two nights of Undead-presented shows with Nels Cline, Tim Berne & Jim Black).
PIANA is an album of instrumental, solo piano pieces written by Gregory Rogove and performed by John Medeski (Medeski Martin & Wood). It also includes a DVD of musical and visual reinterpretations, or "remixes," of the piano pieces.Piana is out now on Knitting Factory Records. The full tracklist and list of remixers is below. The Billy Martin (also of Medeski Martin & Wood) remix is downloadable for free for the first (legal) time above.
Gregory Rogove, who you may also know from his work with Devendra Banhart, Priestbird and Megapuss (Devendra Banhart, Fabrizio Moretti, Gregory Rogove), will be performing songs from Piana on the previously mentioned 'Alone Together Tour' As you know:
The tour, consisting of a West Coast and East Coast run, will kick off on April 7 in Brooklyn, NY and will include three instrumentalists from different-but-related musical communities stepping out of the band atmosphere to present their solo compositions. The tour line-up includes Gregory Rogove and Sarah Neufeld (Arcade Fire/Bell Orchestre / violin) on all dates, Billy Martin (Medeski Martin Wood / percussion) on the east coast leg, Colin Stetson (Bon Iver, Laurie Anderson / saxophone) on the west coast leg. Founded in June 2010 the Undead Jazzfest is new kind of festival, bringing together an incredible array of artists from the new jazz and improvised music community currently exploding in New York City. With no headliners, affordable tickets, unorthodox venues and no drink minimums, the Undead Jazzfest aims to shake the public perception of what jazz can be today, celebrating the incredible music being made in a setting that is inviting to both the veterans and curious new fans.Encompassing eleven venues over its four days (6/23 - 6/26), the Undead Jazzfest will feature appearances from more than 50 bands including names like Marc Ribot, Elliott Sharp, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Mountains and many others. The full list of participating bands is below. Four day passes are on sale for $45 until 4/28. The price increases to $50 after.
Undead Jazzfest is also responsible for curating another show outside of said festival, this one going down at Central Park Summerstage on June 11th with Medeski Martin & Wood, Josh Roseman's King Froopy All Stars and Jim Black's AlasNoAxis. It's one of many free 2011 Summerstage shows that have been announced.
AND, Undead Jazz presents a show at Le Poisson Rouge tonight (4/25) with Orchestre National de Jazz with Daniel Yvinec and John Hollenbeck Large Ensemble with special guests Theo Bleckmann , Kate McGarry and Uri Caine. Undead Jazz also presents Todd Sickafoose's Tiny Resistors and Mary Halvorson Trio at the same venue on May 18th.

The lineup to the 2010 Bonnaroo Festival is being announced today, but not all at once. Bands playing the the festival will each be announcing themselves one by one... making it like a big game for people to figure out, and...
For the first time ever, tickets will go back on sale the same day as the announcement. The top two tiers of tickets sold out quickly during our Holiday pre-sale in December, so make sure to act fast. Payment plans will once again be offered for both GA and VIP tickets.So far Weezer, Phoenix, Dave Matthews Band, Baroness (who just announced a tour with Mastodon), and OK Go have confirmed themselves on the lineup. 92YTribeca (200 Hudson Street, New York, NY) is hosting two music shows tonight (1/24). The first is at 8PM, is free, and will feature a rare performance by Boston's Dave Godowsky. The second is at 8:30, a benefit for Showpaper, and is being brought to Manhattan by none other than Brooklyn's Todd P (and Manhattan's Less Artists More Condos, and Showpaper, and everyone else involved in promoting it). Asa Ransom, The Muggabears, Sigmund Droid, and Nymph are all playing the $10/all-ages bill.

Celebrate Brooklyn will open its 30th season on June 12 with a performance by Isaac Hayes. This summer's lineup for the free concert series at the Prospect Park band shell includes Miriam Makeba; Beth Orton; a screening of the Bruce Lee movie "Enter the Dragon," with live accompaniment by Karsh Kale; a tribute to the R&B singer Bill Withers; and a benefit by Feist.The Bill Withers tribute is one of Hal Willner's multi-artist shows.
Feist is about to leave on a tour that also has her playing two shows at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC at the end of April.
