Dez Cadena

Dez Cadena, who was a member of Black Flag, Misfits (which he recently left) and more, has sadly been diagnosed with throat cancer. A GoFundMe campaign was set up to help him out, and reads:

Dez has just finished debilitating radiation treatments, and is confident he will return to active performance again within a year. So Dez has had to take a long break from touring and recording and he had no other income to pay for the quite expensive treatments and doctor's bills.

We ask you today to donate funds to help Dez's cause, as this friendly man has given so much to the music community, and he is literally a living punk rock legend, having played on some of the classic records of the genre, and remains one of the most beloved members of the scene.

We ask you to please consider donating anything you can to help see Dez through the next year, so he can resume his proper place on the stages and records of our future. Thank you for assisting us in helping this very kind man in his time of need.

So sad to hear. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.

Dez's other recent projects included the post-Black Flag band FLAG and CJ Ramone's band. Watch him sing Black Flag's "Rise Above" with CJ Ramone below...

Glenn Danzig is releasing a covers album this year called Skeletons (including Black Sabbath, The Everly Brothers and more), and he recently gave a video interview to Rolling Stone in support of that. In the video, he talks about his early days getting into punk and playing in the Misfits. Danzig discusses legendary NYC punk venues CBGB and Max's Kansas City, where the band started out playing (they played the latter more than the former). He also talks briefly meeting Lou Reed, and more. Check out the video below.

Meanwhile, Danzig kicks off his west coast tour with Pennywise and Cancer Bats this week. It begins in Pomona, CA on Saturday (7/11) and wraps up in Las Vegas at the end of the month. All dates are listed below.

That's not to be confused with the "Misfits" tour, where Jerry Only and other people are playing a bunch of albums Danzig wrote in full.

Misfits

Should the Jerry Only-led Misfits play Earth A.D. in full at This Is Hardcore this year? We don't think so. But should they play that AND Walk Among Us in full at their Halloween-time NYC show, soon after playing Static Age (which some Misfits fans may not even consider an actual Misfits album) in full in NJ? Because they'll do just that on October 24 at Starland Ballroom and October 27 at Best Buy Theater. They do the same two nights in a row in LA.

Sigh.

While the current version of the "Misfits" had Jerry Only as the sole original member, it was kinda sorta (?) better that they did also have Dez Cadena of Black Flag on guitar. However, Dez is out now too, and his replacement? Jerry's son Jerry Jr of course. The rest of the current lineup is drummer Eric "Chupacabra" Arce (Murphy's Law) and guitarist Marc Rizzo (Soulfly, Ill Niño).

Tickets for the NYC and NJ and other shows will be on sale soon via Ticketmaster. All dates are listed below...

masks

Aggronautix, the people behind these GG Allin bobbleheads and these Lee "Scratch" Perry vinyl figures, have now introduced... three new masks! There's the Motorhead Warpig mask, the Misfits Fiend mask, and the Alice Cooper mask. All three are pictured above. You can pre-order them here, where you can also pick up three previously-released GG Allin masks.

Maybe you can wear the Fiend mask when you go see Danzig on tour, Doyle on tour, or to see Misfits play Earth A.D. without Danzig or Doyle. And maybe that Warpig mask will be in fashion on this year's Motorboat cruise.

Cancer Bats

Canadian hardcore band Cancer Bats, who crushed at our SXSW party last month, are among the final additions to Asbury Park's Skate & Surf festival happening May 16 & 17. Tickets are still on sale. Check out the rest of the new additions below, and the rest of the lineup here.

Cancer Bats and Pennywise were also both just announced as support on the upcoming Danzig tour, which hits Texas, Vegas, Vancouver and other cities this July. Unfortunately no East Coast shows. All dates are listed below.

Meanwhile, Danzig's former Misfits bandmate Doyle will play the East Coast on his tour that's going on as we speak. After two more shows opening for Mushroomhead this week, Doyle heads out on a headlining run that wraps up in Brooklyn on May 3 at Saint Vitus. That show is also with Heavygrinder and Blackest. Tickets are on sale now. All Doyle dates are listed below.

Misfits without Danzig or Doyle are playing Earth A.D. in full this year.

You can check out slow-burn first single, "Too Little Too Late," via its music video, below. That will also be a 7" single with a cover of The Misfits' "Hybrid Moments" on the b-side which you can stream below as well.

The band, who were last in NYC for CMJ, are on tour in the UK this month with Drenge and Wire, but will be visiting NYC for Northside Fest, playing a late show at Rough Trade on June 13. Misfits
Misfits

It was announced today that the bassist-turned-frontman Jerry Only-led Misfits will be co-headlining This is Hardcore in Philadelphia with a special set where they'll be playing their 1983 album "Earth A.D." in full.

Under normal circumstances, this would be really exciting: classic band playing classic album (bonus points because the album was released shortly after the Misfits broke up). It's a well tested, nostalgia-filled gimmick that we all love, BUT YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO IT IF THE CURRENT VERSION OF YOUR BAND DOESN'T EVEN CONTAIN THE ORIGINAL VOCALIST AND SONGWRITER WHO WROTE THAT CLASSIC ALBUM. That's not how this thing is supposed to work, especially if the only current member of the band-that-still-calls-themselves-Misfits who played on that album is the bassist.

We were just starting to get used to the current version of Misfits being a thing, a thing we could live with and not think too much about, but now it's like a fresh wound all over again.

Below are 10 reasons we think the Misfits should not be playing Earth A.D. in full...

This Is Hardcore 2015

This year marks the 10th edition of Philadelphia's annual This Is Hardcore festival, and the lineup is stacked as usual. From July 23-26 the festival brings hardcore to Philly including the Danzig-less Misfits playing the Danzig-written Earth A.D. in its entirety, The Exploited's first US show in over a decade, the newly-reunited Chokehold, American Nightmare, The Suicide File, Cro-Mags, H2O, Snapcase, Slapshot, Nails, Code Orange, Defeater, Power Trip (who just played our SXSW party), Bane (apparently making their last TIHC appearance ever), and many more.

Tickets for the fest go on sale Friday (4/3) at noon, including 4-day passes, 3-day weekend passes and single day passes. Day-by-day lineups are coming later this week, and afterparties at Underground Arts, Voltage Lounge and KungFu Necktie are TBA.

Glenn Danzig, who last year recorded a covers album that may never come out, was in the studio over the weekend working on his next effort, a collection of Elvis covers. The pic above was posted to the Danzig Facebook page with the following message:

So strange how things happen.Working in studio all this week on "Danzig sings Elvis" ep & tonight is anniversary of day Elvis died"
RIP
EAP

GD 8/16/14

Eap, prap, lovp. A concrete release date hasn't been scheduled, but it's assumed the EAP EP will come out some time in 2015.

Is Danzig covering the King to blow off steam over the recent dismissal of his lawsuit v. Jerry Only? The lawsuit proposed Danzig was owed serious coin thanks to a lucrative Hot Topic deal brokered by Only that has spread Misfits-related merch far and wide (I saw a Crimson Ghost on an iPhone case. Don't look back. You can never look back). But, the presiding judge thought otherwise. According to RE-TOX:

Unfortunately, according to the judge, Danzig failed to allege which terms of the 1994 agreement Only actually breached. In the ruling, the judge notes that the merchandise provision of the 1994 agreement grants each co-owner (Danzig, Only, whoever) the "non-exclusive right to conduct merchandising and to exploit other rights relating to the use and exploitation of the name Misfits." AND that each will retain 100% of what each earns individually from exploiting these merchandising rights.

The best part: the agreement even states that neither Only nor Danzig has any obligation to pay the other person in the event one makes more money than the other.

Well, that smarts. Glenn, are you lonely tonight? At least Danzig has the higher profile concert schedule this year, playing Riot Fest and Housecore Horror Festival among other dates (as Samhain).

Check out Danzig's cover of Elvis's "Trouble" recorded in 1990 below.

Ramones

The Ramones' 40th anniversary as a band will be celebrated in NYC this weekend. A press release reads...

To commemorate this historic date, Tim Hayes, founder of the CBGB Music & Film Festival, will host a public 40th Anniversary remembrance and salute to Tommy Ramone, the last surviving original member of the Ramones who passed away on July 11th, 2014.

Friends, family and fans will come together to pay tribute to Tommy, and the legendary American Rock Band at Bowery Electric. The evening will feature performances and speeches from those closest to The Ramones and attendance by prominent figures of the early New York City punk scene.

Speakers:

· Bob Gruen - photographer of some of their most iconic and famous photos

· Danny Fields - former manager of The Ramones

· Monte A. Melnick - Ramones tour manager & author of On the Road with The Ramones

· Spencer Drate - designer of many of their album covers

Performers:

· The Martinets - members include Daniel Rey, The Ramones Producer

· Jimmy Gestapo - Murphy's Law

The event happens at The Bowery Electric at 7 PM.

In other Ramones news, CJ Ramone, who played bass in the Ramones from 1989 to 1996, has signed to Fat Wreck Chords who will release his new single on September 30 with a full length titled Last Chance To Dance to follow. He was joined by other punk rock royalty to record it too: like on his 2012 solo debut, his band includes Adolescents members Dan Root and Steve Soto and Social Distortion member David Hidalgo Jr. Plus, the single's b-side is a cover of Black Flag's "Rise Above" which features former Black Flag member and current Misfits member Dez Cadena on guitar and backing vocals. The a-side is an original song, "Understand Me?" which is streaming below. CJ is also touring Brazil later this month into September. All of those dates are listed below as well.

In more Ramones news, Richie Ramone, the band's drummer from 1983-1987, will join The Queers at their NYC show happening October 3 at Santos Party House. Tickets for that show are on sale now. You can watch a video of Richie joining The Queers at their show at The Roxy this past July for the Ramones classic "I Just Want to Have Something to Do" and others, below.

Danzig at Riot Fest in 2013 (more by Kirstie Shanley)
danzig

Samhain now have a guitarist and a solidified lineup for their upcoming run of 30 Bloody Years dates. First, the addition: Peter Adams of Baroness. Says Peter, "I'm truly excited, It's a great honor to share the stage with Samhain on the 30th Anniversary of Initium! Samhain has helped shape how I've played music, and the music I've listened to, since I was a teenager and will continue to, on into the future. To be a part of this legacy is great beyond words!" The rest of the group is rounded out by Danzig Legacy players London May and Steve Zing. (Yep, no Eerie Von. Maybe next reunion.) And, you know, Glenn Danzig will be there. Samhain is set to play Riot Fest, Housecore Horror Fest, and Samhain Night at NYC's Best Buy Theater among other dates.

In related news (and mentioning them here might be the only way to get the two together besides a lawsuit), the Misfits have been added to GWAR-B-Q. They'll be joined by Jello Biafra, the other recent add to an expanded lineup that includes Hatebreed, Body Count, Revocation, Iron Reagan, Goatwhore, Noisem, and more. You can find the updated bill below. GWAR-B-Q will kick off on August 16 at Richmond, Virginia's Hadad's Lake.

Danzig at Riot Fest Chicago 2013 (more by Kirstie Shanley)
Danzig

We already knew Glenn Danzig's post-Misfits, pre-Danzig band Samhain were reuniting this year to perform their debut LP at Riot Fest Chicago. They've since been added to Housecore Horror Fest and have begun announcing club dates too. Those include a NYC show happening on Samhain... November 1 at Best Buy Theater. Good openers booked too, Goatwhore (who are also on the Summer Slaughter tour) and Midnight (who are also playing NY Deathfest). Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (7/18) at noon. All currently scheduled dates, including a Philly date and a Halloween show in DC, are listed below.

In related news, Danzig's Misfits bandmate Doyle is going on his first-ever headline tour as Doyle (the band). Yes, 27 years after Glenn Danzig formed Danzig, Doyle has formed Doyle. That tour hits NYC at Queens rock club Blackthorn 51 on August 17. All dates, including other NY and NJ shows, are listed below too.

Interestingly, Doyle also just posted a picture of himself with Eerie Von who is hopefully part of the Samhain reunion lineup. That was a few days after Doyle and Danzig played Amnesia Rockfest, which the current version of the Misfits (who play NYC around Halloween as well) also played.

Lists of Samhain and Doyle and Misfits dates below...

Danzig at Riot Fest in 2013 (more by Kirstie Shanley)
Danzig

Nestled within the Riot Fest Chicago 2014 lineup sat this intriguing name: Samhain. The Samhain? The band Glenn Danzig fronted between two legacy-ensuring runs in the Misfits and his "Mother"-effin' 'solo' stardom? That Samhain?

Danzig's official website has since confirmed: "We can confirm that DANZIG has accepted an invitation to perform as his Classic SAMHAIN at Riot Fest in Chicago this September. More as we get it...Stay Tuned!!!" Riot Fest has since announced that Samhain will play Initium in full.

We actually shouldn't be too surprised. Danzg has been touring with Doyle-infused Misfits sets as part of his show for a while now, and in 2011 he did a "Danzig Legacy" tour, with shows that included (drama and) seven Samhain songs and members as part of the setlist. That tour hit Riot Fest in Chicago, a fest Danzig then played for a second time last year (and which he will play for a third time this year). Three members of Samhain played in the band (Glenn Danzig, London May and Steve Zing).

What we still don't know is who will actually be playing in this version of the reunited "Samhain". Danzig hasn't said yet. Drummer/bassist Steve Zing is a very safe bet since he was in Samhain, played the 'Legacy' shows and plays in Danzig's current lineup. Drummer/bassist London May, already back in the fold recently, also seems very possible. The bigger question is whether we'll get original member (and Danzig original member, but current country singer) drummer/bassist Eerie Von back in the fold. In our professional opinion that is who Danzig needs most to validate this thing, and actually things are looking good, though it might require Glenn also wrangling in guitarist Pete "Damien" Marshall. In 2012, Blankman ran this interview:

BMi: Why weren't you part of the Samhain reunion

EV: "What reunion? Glenn and 2 drummers? I said if the Guitar player Damian wasn't involved I wasn't interested."

BMi: What do you think about Jerry Only's continued version of the Misfits?

EV: "That's Jerry's thing. He's keeping the name alive, and playing the songs for the kids who never saw the old band. I only saw them when they first got back together, and had Graves as a singer. I thought they were pretty good. I haven't seen Jerry and the others guys since.

BMi: Knowing all the guys in the band personally, what do you think the chances are of a full-fledged Misfits reunion?

EV: "Slim to None, but you never can tell. It's been discussed over the years."

Slim to none is right, and even more right now that Danzig and Jerry Only are embroiled in yet another lawsuit concerning a legal spat with Misfits bassist Jerry Only over Hot Topic merchandising royalties, citing the devilocked dude for breach of a '94 agreement to share trademarks.
After registering the trademarks, Danzig alleges Jerry then secretly entered into deals with various merchandisers, including Hot Topic, and cut Danzig out of any potential profits in the process. Danzig claims Jerry even threatened to withhold licensing rights from merchandisers if they did business with Danzig at all.

Danzig -- who left The Misfits in 1983 -- is suing for breach of contract and more. He insists he's solely responsible for the Misfits fame as a founding member of the group, and deserves his fair share of merchandising profits. [re-tox]

Misfits say it's "sour grapes". Read the entire statement they gave to Alternative Press in response to the lawsuit, below, and good luck Glenn.

Meanwhile, Jerry Only's version of the Misfits just announced that their NYC Halloween show will happen this year on October 28 at Irving Plaza. Tickets are on Live Nation/Music Geeks presale and go on regular sale Friday (5/16) at 10 AM.

All of Danzig's & Misfits' 2014 tour dates, along with some Samhain samples -- that you should listen to with unbiased ears -- below.

Chain of Strength at Acheron in 2012 (more by Fred Pessaro)
Chain of Strength

Hardcore vets Chain of Strength, who were briefly around from 1988 to 1991, reunited in 2012 for Revolution 25 (pics) at Irving Plaza and a much smaller Brooklyn show at Acheron (pics). They've since played LA in 2013 and it turns out the reunion isn't over yet, as they'll be going on a short Northeast tour in June with Turnstile, Strife, Mindset and Praise which brings them back to Brooklyn's Acheron on June 15. Tickets for that show go on sale via Ticketfly on May 8. All dates are listed below.

The brief tour is leading up to their appearance at Canada's Amnesia Rockfest (6/20-21) with blink-182, Motley Crue, Weezer, Alice In Chains, Megadeth, Primus, Danzig with Doyle, Mastodon, Cock Sparrer, Black Flag, Fear, Dead Kennedys, Misfits, Joan Jett, Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Meshuggah, Henry Rollins, Rocket from the Crypt, Judge, Strife, Glassjaw, Dying Fetus, Cannibal Corpse, Title Fight and many more. Tickets for that fest are on sale now.

Behemoth at Irving Plaza, 2012 (more by Greg Cristman)

Behemoth frontman Nergal is kind of a badass -- he's an extremely gifted musician and a live-performance powerhouse who's played an important role in putting the potent Polish metal scene on the international map over the past 20 years. He's also a cancer survivor; after his 2010 leukemia diagnosis, he underwent chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant. Two years later, Behemoth were back on the road and plowing through high-energy live sets like nothing had happened. Again, badass.

Behemoth announced a 2014 release for The Satanist -- their tenth album, and their first in half a decade -- a few months ago. I admittedly haven't been too excited by their last few efforts, but after watching the NSFW video for leadoff single "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel" (streaming below), my enthusiasm for the band has been rekindled. It's far moodier and more patient composition than the cluttered, robotic death/black metal that they've produced recently. They can still put the hammer down when they need to, though; the song's final minute is both the catchiest and most intense moment I've heard them produce since the mid-aughts. The video is pretty cool too, especially if you're into artsy black-and-white shots of evil rituals happening in slow motion.

In related news, Behemoth were also recently announced as part of the initial lineup for the 2014 edition of France's Hellfest, which will take place from June 20 through 22 (6/20-6/22). The lineup so far is huge and crazy: there's a "huge rock band" stage, featuring Iron Maiden, Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Soundgarden, among others; a big-name thrash/black metal stage that spotlights Slayer, Death Angel, Emperor, Iced Earth, Behemoth, and more; a death metal stage that will include Death To All, Carcass, Opeth, Nile, Gorguts, Hail of Bullets, and Weekend Nachos; a smaller black metal stage topped off by Watain, Gorgoroth and 1349; a sludge/stoner stage featuring Electric Wizard, Monster Magnet, Unida, Kylesa, Godflesh, and Clutch; and a punk stage topped by Walls of Jericho, Millencolin, and Turbonegro. Wow. You can reserve tickets now, if you feel like parsing the Google-Translated ticket page.

Check out the Behemoth video and the full set of Hellfest announcements below.

Halloween Cat

We were just talking about holiday shows in NYC in celebration of Thanksgiving, Hanukkah and Christmas, but before we get there, there's a ton of stuff to do for Halloween as well.

Like they've done in the past, Cypress Hill will play a show around then at Best Buy Theater on October 30 with Method Man collaborator Redman. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Zappa Plays Zappa (aka the band led by Frank Zappa's son Dweezil performing his father's music) are playing a Halloween eve show at Gramercy Theatre (10/30) and then on Halloween they play Beacon Theatre (10/31). Tickets for those shows are on sale now.

As discussed, Crystal Stilts, who just opened for Deerhunter, are playing a Halloween show at Bowery Ballroom. Since we last spoke, it's been announced that the show will be opened by Excepter and Zachary Cale. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

The band that currently tours as The Misfits are celebrating in NYC the night before Halloween at BB King's (10/30) with The Attack (tickets), then after Halloween (aka the Day of the Dead), they play NJ's Starland Ballroom (11/1) (tickets).

Meanwhile, original Misfits vocalist Glenn Danzig and his former bandmate Doyle are going on a tour together that hits NYC on October 18 at Roseland Ballroom. Tickets for that show are still available.

Another punk option on Halloween is Cali vets The Dickies' previously discussed show at Knitting Factory (10/31). Tickets for that show are still available.

World/Inferno Friendship Society play their annual Hallowmas show at Warsaw on Halloween. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Former lead singer of Paul Revere & The Raiders, Mark Lindsay is playing on Halloween at Bowery Electric with The Doughboys, St. Philips Escalator, The Connection and DJ Tony Lo-Fi. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

For something dancier, Gatekeeper, Mirror Mirror, DJ Bruno (Light Asylum), and DJ Nick (CHERYL) will take over Brooklyn Masonic Temple on Halloween. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

Another similar option is catching DFA's Juan Maclean DJing Cameo on Halloween with Justin Strauss and Evan Michael. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

The Cameo show starts at 10 and Juan Maclean is doing a 3 hour set, so you can probably get there after seeing his DFA labelmates Holy Ghost! play Terminal 5 with Midnight Magic. Tickets for that show are still available.

Before Glasslands hosts the Peelander-Z show on Halloween, they'll "dress up" as The Black Lodge for a Twin Peaks party on October 25, the Friday before. Tickets for that party are on sale now.

Jammy Halloween options include the Phil Lesh & Friends show at Capitol Theatre, which kicks off their 9-show NYC-area run, and Phish in Atlantic City, which kicks off their 3-night run in AC.

And what's Halloween without a few cover shows? On October 30 at 285 Kent, local indie bands will take on rock bands of the past with Butter the Children as Pixies, Dead Stars as Nirvana, Le Rug as At The Drive-In, Turnip King as The Velvet Underground, and Honduras as Green Day. Tickets for that show are on sale now.

The Stone hosts a much different kind with Eugene Chadbourne as Jimmy Carl Black, Evan Gallagher as Thelonious Monk, Thomas Heberer as Muggsy Spanier, Tatsuya Nakatani as Johnny Cash, Louie Pearlman as Cab Calloway, Barry Mitterhof as Jethro Burns, and special surprise guests. That goes down on Halloween at 8 PM and again at 10.

Cake Shop also has a cover show on Halloween too but the lineup is TBA. UPDATE: The lineup includes Vulture Shit as Dookie Shit, Big Ups as Breaking Brad, Flagland as Weezer, All Nines as Buckingham Buckingham Buckingham, Low Fat Getting High as Nirvana, Butter the Children as Pixies, and Palehound as Pavement.

Other Halloween options include the Masquerade Ball with a "world-renowned live DJ performance" at Highline Ballroom, the Bluegrass Halloween celebration at The Bell House on November 1 (tickets), and Dionne Werewolf (aka the werewolf ensemble that does Dionne Warwick covers) at Union Hall (10/31) (tickets).

Other previously discussed Halloween options include The Body at Saint Vitus and Yamantaka // Sonic Titan and Jenny Hval at Basilica Hudson.

UPDATES:

* Vatican Shadow, Raime and others are playing Output (10/31).

* AVAN LAVA, Light Asylum and Zebra Katz are playing MHOW (10/31).

* Believer/Law are playing Nothing Changes (10/30).

* Sankeys opens in NYC.

* Liturgy and composer Alan Howarth play 285 Kent (10/31).

* Silent Barn is also doing a cover show with Celestial Shore and Delicate Steve as Led Zeppelin, Whoarfrost as Nirvana, Cloud Becomes Your Hand doing Jock Jams, and You as Interpol. Twn Sister is DJing. Admission is $10 with a costume or $12 without.

Browse our show calendar for even more events happening on 10/31 (and every day)

And don't forget, the Halloween Parade is coming back but needs your help UPDATE: goal met!

Danzig at Bonnaroo 2012 (more by Dana (distortion) Yavin)
Danzig

Danzig is celebrating the 25th anniversary of his self titled debut this year, and in honor of that, he's been touring with former Misfits bandmate Doyle on guitar. When that tour was first announced, there was no NYC date, but Danzig, Doyle, and co. just announed a fall leg including a show at Roseland Ballroom on October 18. Tickets for that show go on Live Nation/Mobile App and Radio presales today (8/22) at 10 AM (password: "summer") with a general on-sale starting Friday (8/23) at 10 AM. Updated tour dates are listed below.

Danzig's current drummer is still Type O Negative's Johnny Kelly who also plays drums in A Pale Horse Named Death, the current project of Sal Abruscato who played drums in Type O before Johnny did. A Pale Horse Named Death, along with Butcher Babies and Texas Hippie Coalition, also open the whole tour, Roseland show included.

Sal Abruscato left Type O Negative to play drums in Life of Agony whose frontman Keith Caputo is now Mina Caputo, who we caught last week with Laura Jane Grace at Knitting Factory.

Meanwhile, Doyle, when not teaming up with Glenn to play Misfits classics (like he'll be doing on this tour), is making his own music. His new album Abominator was just released and you can listen to one of its songs, "Valley of Shadows" via its lyric video below.

Updated Danzig dates are listed, along with a recent video and setlist from his ongoing tour, below...

The Misfits

The Misfits, or what remains of them (the band is now comprised of Jerry Only, Dez Cadena and Eric "Chupacabra" Arce, but not Danzig who hates them all and has done his own Misfits sets lately with just Doyle), played Highline Ballroom on December 16, a make up show for their Hurricane-Sandy-interrupted, annual Halloween shindig. Right after Christmas, Japanther will play a few dates in Texas leading towards a New Year's Eve show in Austin. All tour dates are listed below, along with more pics from Highline ballroom and the "Misfits"' setlist.
