Festival creator Adam Zacks and Live Nation have announced the lineup for the Sasquatch! Music Festival, taking place May 27th - 30th, with over 120 artists including performances by The Cure, Florence & The Machine, Disclosure, Major Lazer, Alabama Shakes, A$AP Rocky, Sufjan Stevens, M83, Grimes, Chet Faker, and Jamie xx. Created by Adam Zacks in 2002, the festival's stellar lineups have featured a blend of established and emerging artists at the stunning Gorge Amphitheatre set atop the cliffs overlooking the Columbia River, making this festival an international destination as well as a uniquely Pacific Northwest mainstay. Tickets to the 2016 Sasquatch! Music Festival will go on sale Tuesday, January 12 at 10 a.m. (PST) at SasquatchFestival.comCo-headliner Florence & The Machine was also announced on Shaky Knees today too, and just announced a tour with Grimes.

The New York Comedy Festival (November 10 - 15) just announced 50 new shows to its 2015 lineup, including panel discussions, stand-up, musical comedy and podcasts. Among them is "Comedy Central Live in Brooklyn" which happens at Kings Theatre on November 13 and will features sets by Hannibal Buress, Nick Kroll, Natasha Leggero, John Mulaney, Jeff Ross and more TBA. Tickets are on sale for that show.
Other new additions include: Bridget Everett & the Tender Moments at Gramery Theatre on November 12 (tickets); Craig Robinson & the Nasty Delicious at Brooklyn Bowl on November 15 (tickets); "A Sit-Down With The Tonight Show Writers" on November 14 at The TimesCenter (tickets); and "Keepin It 100: An Evening With The Creative Team Of The Nightly Show With Larry Wilmore" at the Paley Center on November 14 (tickets on sale 10/7).

Tenacious D's Festival Supreme is back for a second year, this time happening at LA Sports Arena & Exposition Park on October 25. The laffstravaganza (with music too) features over 40 performers, and if you are into comedy it's a pretty "holy crap" lineup, including The State, Workaholics, Metalocalypse, Cheech & Chong, The Eagles of Death Metal, The Dan Band, Peaches, Doug Benson, Dr. Demento and lots more (including the 'D themselves). Tickets for 2014 Festival Supreme go on sale Friday (5/30) at 10 AM PST (that's 1 PM NYC time).
The 2012 edition of Calgary, Alberta festival Sled Island is set to take place from June 20-23 at venues throughout the city. This year includes over 200 bands performing at 30 venues plus a large comedy schedule, film screenings, and art shows.
Sled Island 2012 will once again use outdoor venue Olympic Plaza as its main stage, featuring performances by Feist, The Hold Steady, Stephen Malkmus & The Jicks, The Dudes, Shabazz Palaces, Parlovr, and others.
Acts including Russian Circles, Hot Snakes, The Antlers, Boris, Thurston Moore, Willis Earl Beal, Trust, Yamantaka // Sonic Titan, Terry Malts, Neil Hamburger, How To Dress Well, The Evaporators (aka Nardwuar's band), DJ Jonathan Toubin, Hannibal Buress, Andrew W.K., Tim Heidecker, Archers of Loaf, and many more will be performing at various bars and venues. Reggie Watts is more than halfway through a six night run of shows in Melbourne, Australia, but he'll return in time for "Radio Play" which keeps him busy for the bulk of May. Then this summer Watts will play a pair of Summerstage shows in NYC within days of each other. On June 22nd, look for Reggie at Central Park Summerstage with Natasha Leggero and then on June 24th in Red Hook Park with DJ Stormin' Norman. Both shows are FREE and kick off at 7:30PM and 7:00PM respectively.
In other musical comedy news, Dave Hill's band Diamondsnake plays a late show at Mercury Lounge this Saturday night, 4/23. As you may know, Moby is also a member of the hard rockin' band, but he can't make it that night. Instead, Nash Kato of Urge Overkill will take his place on guitar. TAB the Band open. Tickets are still available.
