Will Chris Gethard make Klaus' list?

Because I have a terrible memory and personal tastes that change from week to week, coming up with a "Best of" list spanning an entire year is absolutely impossible. And the term "Best of" sounds too goddamned dogmatic to be taken very seriously. I only like lists when they are silly and light like "Top Ten Funniest Farts" or something of that nature. And anyway, the reality is that taste is subjective; a concept which you crotchety commenters can't seem to get through your thick skulls. Especially when it comes to comedy. So rather than give you a "Top 10 Funniest Comedians of 2012" list, what follows is "Though There Are Certainly Others, Here Are 10 Mostly Local Comedians Who Klaus Kinski Really Enjoyed in 2012 In No Particular Order, Really," below...

Jim Gaffigan, Sarah Silverman & Eugene Mirman @ The Bell House 9/14/2012

Friday night saw (9/14) the 2012 edition of the Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival expand to two venues, with Union Hall playing host to "This Is The Night These Comics Get Discovered and Become Stars!" and The Bell House hosting "StarTalk Live! with Neil deGrasse Tyson." The former event featured stand-up comedy from upstarts like Phoebe Robinson, Nick Turner, Greg Johnson and more, while the latter was a discussion featuring Mr. Mirman himself, Sarah Silverman, Jim Gaffigan and more (Sarah and Jim were both special guests at the same venue the night before). Pictures from both Friday night events are in this post.
Today (9/15) the festival expanded even further, encompassing three shows (an afternoon show and two night events) at the two Brooklyn spaces: "Uh Oh: Dangerous, Inappropriate Comedy For Teenagers" happened in the day and "Comedians Two to Five Years Away From Their Own TV Shows" at night at Union Hall; as well as "Talent Show presents: Speech & Debate" at The Bell House.
