FatCat Records are presenting their official CMJ showcase at Mercury Lounge on October 19. The showcase includes NYC singer/songwriter Nina Nastasia, recent FatCat signees Forest Fire, an acoustic set by Mice Parade (who Wolf Parade are sort of named after), and "special guests" (TBA?). Tickets go on sale Thursday (9/1) at noon with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (8/31) at noon.

Mercury Lounge also announced their 10/21 CMJ showcase which has Purity Ring and others on the bill.

You can also catch Forest Fire in NYC this week at Shea Stadium on Thursday (9/1) with Caged Animals and Dive.

Not on the Mercury Lounge bill, but signed to FatCat is LA band Foot Village who can be found on the bill of the upcoming ATP I'll BE Your Mirror in Asbury Park (on 10/1), and who will stay on the east coast for a nine day tour that ends at Death By Audio in Brooklyn on October 9th. All dates are listed below..

Ryan Muir took the above shot when Matthew Houck (Phosphorescent) jumped into the crowd at the BrooklynVegan day party at Emo's Annex on March 13th. His band stayed on stage - the same stage that Holy Fuck played on right after they were finished.
