Bad Religion @ T5, 3/26/2013 (photo by Keith Marlowe)
Bad Religion

It's hard to imagine doing any one thing for thirty three years, but somehow melodic punks Bad Religion are still going at it. The Southern California mainstays played one of the first dates on their current US tour at Terminal 5 on Tuesday (3/26), just a few days after headlining Wellmont Theater on Saturday (3/23). The dates included support from The Bronx (who recently played NYC in support of IV, pictures HERE and HERE) and Polar Bear Club, both of which have signed on for the entirety of the tour.

Much like The Bronx, Bad Religion are celebrating the release of their new LP True North with the tour.

In related news, The Bronx recently sat down with the guys at Rocks Off as part of a podcast. Check that out at the Rocks Off site.

More pics from Terminal 5 are below along with the Bad Religion setlists for both dates.

The Bronx at Bowery Electric, 2/5/2013 (by Harriet Roberts)
The Bronx

The Bronx is in New York. And by that I mean the California punk crew, who just celebrated the release of their LP IV with a pair of shows at Bowery Electric, are back in our city to play a sold-out Terminal 5 tonight (3/26) with Bad Religion and Polar Bear Club. The show is part of a larger tour for the trio that terminates in Los Angeles (The Bronx replaced Against Me!, who were initially on the tour but dropped off). Full tour dates, which include shows in Australia and an appearance at this year's Orion Festival in Detroit, are below.

You may remember The Bronx played a couple record release shows at Bowery Electric back in February, and we have a few sets of belated pics from both shows, more of which are below.

Bad Religion at Irving Plaza in 2010 (more by Keith Marlowe)
Bad Religion

Melodic punks Bad Religion will release their sixteenth album, True North, on January 22 via Epitaph, but have just revealed an advance stream of the entire thing which you can listen to below. It doesn't sound too different from the other records they've done since reuniting with Brett Gurewitz (everything from 2002's The Process of Belief on) which is probably a good thing if you're a Bad Religion fan, and it's pretty impressive for any band to be doing 30+ years into their career.

Bad Religion will support the album on a tour with Against Me! and Polar Bear Club this March and April. That tour hits NYC at Terminal 5 on March 26. Tickets for the NYC show go on sale Friday (1/18) at noon. UPDATE: They also play a NYC area show on March 23 at Wellmont Theatre and tickets for that show go on sale Friday (1/18) at noon.

Against Me! are also planning a new album this year, called Transgender Dysphoria Blues, which is still without an exact release date. You can watch a video of Laura Jane Grace performing the title track at a solo show below.

That video, a list of all currently known dates and the album stream below...

The Fest 11

The Fest is back for round 11 (!) adding bands from across the spectrum of punk rock for the multi-day Gainesville, Florida extravaganza. The Fest announced its initial lineup earlier this month but has doubled that number, bringing the total tally to a whopping 217, and there are more to go! The lineup includes Lagwagon, Naked Raygun, Baroness, Red Fang, Off with Their Heads, Torche, Valient Thorr, 7 Seconds, F.Y.P., Braid, Titus Andronicus, Toys That Kill, Underground Railroad to Candyland, Frank Turner and many more (see below). Tickets are now on sale (and sold out quick last year).

Full lineup is below, expect to see some surprises at The Fest as well; Sleepytime Trio reunited there last year.

I posted a few pictures yesterday without even realizing that our own Chris La Putt was in attendance on the beach of Coney Island on New Year's Day. His pictures from this year's Polar Bear Swim continue below...

Pegboy

Pegboy are hitting the east coast with recently reunited left-coast pop-punks face to face and Polar Bear Club in September. The tour includes a pair of NYC dates including Gramercy on 9/17 (here) and Irving Plaza on 9/22 (here). Both shows go on sale 7/9 at 1PM.

Pegboy was founded by ex-Naked Raygun guitarist John Haggerty, and both bands are scheduled to play Riot Fest Chicago in October. Five day passes for Riot Fest are sold out, but individual shows are still available. Naked Raygun are coming to NYC in September.

face to face recently returned from a European tour and played Bamboozle East. Founding member Trever Keith recently twittered that he is working on material for a new Face To Face LP, with the band rehearsing the tunes in July.
