You can browse our full NYC show calendar for all of tonight's shows, but here are some highlights...
Buzzcocks, Residuels, Otherworldly Things @ Irving Plaza
One of the OG UK punk bands, Buzzcocks had pop smarts from the get-go with a string of classic singles. Pete Shelley and Steve Diggle are still at it, having released The Way last year, that doesn't fiddle with their formula. If you're going tonight, be sure to check out Philadelphia's Residuels who will likely appeal to Buzzcocks fans.
Trans Am, Zombi, Jonas Reinhardt @ Baby's All Right
Long-running DC-area trio Trans Am released their aptly-titled tenth full length Volume X last year, finding them still in the post-rock groove.
The Juan Maclean (live), Jay Green (DJ set), Shit Robot (DJ set) @ Cameo Gallery
While they're mainstays on the DJ circuit, it's been a long time since The Juan Maclean actually played live. To get back into the swing, they're doing a six-night Brooklyn residency, starting tonight with three shows at Cameo then next week at Union Pool.
Bob Saget @ Best Buy Theater
Known for being the face of ABC family programming in the '80s and '90s, comedian Bob Saget has successfully let his dark side emerge, earning a rep for being one of the most twisted joke-tellers in the business.
Prewar Yardsale, Penny Arcade, Duckspeak, Jeffrey Lewis, Zack Daniel, Jimmy McMillian, Dots Will Echo, Brooke Pridemore, Cannonball Statman, Kung Fu Luke @ Cake Shop
This show brings a bunch of musicians together to raise money for the people who lost their homes or business in the 2nd Ave East Village Fire.
Portland Cello Project (performs music of Elliott Smith), Erin & Her Cello, special guest Laura Gibson @ Le Poisson Rouge
Portland singer/songwriter Laura Gibson is known for a handful of collaborations, including with Colin Meloy, and also with the Portland Cello Project, who she'll be with tonight as they perform a set of Elliott Smith songs.
Johnny Aries, Radical Dads, Spirit Plate @ Rough Trade
Brooklyn's Radical Dads just released their third album but sadly will be disbanding, as life concerns take precedence. Specifically, every member of the band is soon to be a parent. Radical Dads (and Moms) indeed. Catch them while you can. Also on the bill: Johnny Aries of The Drums.
S.H.I.T., Vaaska, Party Plates, Ajax, Raid, special guests @ The Acheron
NYC punk/hardcore festival New York's Alright starts in proper tomorrow, but tonight's the pre-fest kickoff show with Toronto's S.H.I.T., Texas' Vaaska, Cleveland's Party Plates, a couple local bands and "special guests that may or may not be announced."
Jeff Beck, Tyler Bryant @ The Paramount
Guitar legend Jeff Beck (of The Yardbirds, The Jeff Beck Group and more) is in the midst of a multi-night NYC-area run with Jimmy Hall, who fronted the '70s southern rock band Wet Willie, on vocals.
Acrylics, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Simon Doom, Glyph City @ Union Pool
Why, yes, it does seem like this lineup has been timewarped in from 2008 with both Acrylics and MBAR on the bill. It's a welcome return for duo The Acrylics who never quite reached their potential. Glad to see they're still around!

Dufus' last show at Cake Shop in 2010 (more by Daniel Sieradski)
Manhattan's SideWalk Cafe is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and in honor of that, they'll be having anniversary events all year long. The first of these will be the winter edition of the bi-annual Antifolk Festival, which will take place at the cafe from February 19 to 28. The 10-day festival includes a number of performers each day, and the full schedule is below. One of the notable ones is on February 26, the cafe will host Jeffrey Lewis & Peter Stampfel (of Holy Modal Rounders), who have a long collaborative history, plus Forest Creature, Larkin Grimm, and others.
Forest Creature is the new duo of Seth Faergolzia (Dufus) and John Ludington, and the Sidewalk Cafe show is part of their February/March tour, which also includes a Brooklyn show later that night (2/26) at Goodbye Blue Monday (1087 Broadway) with Chingching. They recently revealed their first track, "Beasly," a meandering antifolk cut, which you can stream below, along with a list of all dates.
The Summer Antifolk Festival is taking place August 7th through 16th at Sidewalk Cafe in NYC (94 Ave A). Some highlights over the two-plus-week festival include Jason & Rachel Trachtenburg, Jaymay, Soft Black, Dufus and Larkin Grimm.
