Vatican Shadow at Drone Activity in Progress in May (more by PSquared)
Vatican Shadow

We just discussed a slew of Halloween shows earlier this week, including Cypress Hill and Redman at Best Buy Theater (10/30) (tickets), the current iteration of The Misfits at BB King's (10/30) with The Attack (tickets), and many more.

Brooklyn's Output just announced their Halloween (10/31) show, and it should appeal to those looking for something both sinister and dance-y. Dominick Fernow (Prurient) will headline as his "militant religious industrial" act Vatican Shadow with support from Raime, Silent Servant, Veronica Vasicka and Becka Diamond. Raime is performing what is being billed as their "AV premiere," so expect visuals. You should also expect this show to run late--doors are at 10pm, and Vatican Shadow typically doesn't bring his high-energy show to the stage until after midnight on a normal night. Tickets for the show are on sale here and here.

As we recently mentioned, Vatican Shadow has a new LP, Remember Your Black Day, coming out on 10/21 through Fernow's own Hospital Productions label.

The Output show is part of a tour that Raime is on, which hit San Francisco with Pharmakon last night (9/26) and also includes the Blackest Ever Black showcase in London with Dominick Fernow's power-electronics persona Prurient and Tropic of Cancer. All Raime dates are listed below.

Speaking of, Tropic of Cancer just released a beautiful and haunting video for "Plant Lilies in my Head" and recently put out her debut LP, Restless Idylls. Watch that video below.

In other Halloween news, as discussed, the NYC Halloween Parade is back for its 40th installment after being cancelled last-minute in the wake of Hurricane Sandy last year. The 11th-hour cancellation caused some financial hardship, and organizers have launched a Kickstarter. The campaign is a little less than half-way to its 50k goal.

Watch Tropic of Cancer's video, and see Raime's tour dates, below...

Ceremony at Fun Fun Fun Fest 2012 (more by Keith Marlowe)
Ceremony

Andy Nelson of Ceremony / Paint it Black took time out from his string of dates with Titus Andronicus (which included Webster Hall this past weekend) to fork over his favorite records of 2012. Andy actually gave us two lists -- favorite LPs and EPs/singles. They include Frank Ocean, Merchandise, Savages, Julia Holter and... well see for yourself. His lists are below.
