Cake Shop

As you know, LES music venue Cake Shop has been busy raising money to help keep their doors open. Good news! They've officially hit 100% of their goal, and today announced that "we can't tell you how grateful we are to everyone for their support. Now we can square up with our landlord and sign a new 10 year lease to keep the music going on the Lower East Side. Stay tuned..."

Upcoming shows at Cake Shop include Tiger Waves on August 10, Splash on August 11, and a Brian Jonewtown Massacre post-tour, post-Webster Hall-show party on August 25 with The Vacant Lots, Rosco (Sterling Roswell of Spacemen 3, The Darkside), Flavor Crystals, Chatham Rise, and DJ Frankie Teardrop of BJM ($10 or $5 with BJM Webster Hall ticket stub, 21+, 11pm-4am).
