SSION O

SSION streaming guest-filled 'O,' playing Bowery Ballroom

SSION, the dance-pop, video production, and more collective led by Cody Critcheloe, released their first album in seven years, O, last week via Dero Arcade. It features Sky Ferreira, Roisin Murphy, Devendra Banhart, Ariel Pink, Jennifer Herrema (Royal Trux), Patty Schemel (Hole, Upset), MNDR, Ian Isiah, and other guests, and Cody co-produced the album with Teengirl Fantasy‘s Nick Weiss and Test Icicles‘ Sam Mehran. O is a very fun mix of all different types of alternative pop, with clever references to all different types of pop culture (from Sonic Youth to Madonna), and it’s all delivered with Cody’s punk ethos and LGBTQ pride in the forefront. You can stream the whole album below, and, since SSION is just as known for his video production, you can and should watch its two videos below. Cody called the 7+ minute “Comeback” video “my modest attempt at ‘Bohemian Rhapsody.'”

SSION has just one upcoming show on his schedule: NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on June 30. Tickets are on sale now.
