Bun B

Brooklyn Bowl will welcome Houston hip hop don and half of the much lamented UGK (Pimp C RIP) on 12/22, as Bun B will play the venue with Homeboy Sandman and K-Salaam. Tickets are on sale. Bun B released Trill OG earlier this year, and recently appeared on a Redman song from his upcoming LP Reggie. Dig on "Lite 1 Witcha Boi" featuring Bun B and Method Man above from Reggie (due 12/7) and the record's art/tracklisting below.

The Bun B show will be presented by Talib Kweli, and he'll probably make a brief appearance. But Kweli will headline Highline Ballroom proper on 12/26 (tickets) alongside Strong Arm Steady, Jean Grae, Red Cafe, Shawn Pen (aka Little Shawn), Joell Ortiz, Mickey Factz, & Naturally Amazing.

Speaking of icons from the south, I have a pair of tickets to giveaway for the upcoming Big Boi show at Terminal 5 on 12/22. Tickets are still available, or you can try your luck at winning a pair! Details on how to win are below.

In related news, Redman and Ghostface Killah were both supposed to make appearances at this weekend's Sneaker Pimps event, but cancelled prior to the show. Rick Ross and Diggy Simmons were added in their stead. Video of Rawse at Sneaker Pimps is below.

Ghostface's new LP, Apollo Kids is out in eight days (12/14) fifteen days (12/21). Dig on the new song "Together Baby" above, and check out the tracklisting and cover art below.

Ghostface at Rock The Bells 2010 (more by Brook Bobbins)
Ghostface

Have you ever approached your employer asking for pre-tax deductions for purchases at Flight Club? Have you ever bought two pairs of the same shoe so you could rock one and put the other in your gigantic closet filled with shoeboxes? Do you own the exclusive ultra-rare Jay-Z/Eminem tour only Air Force 1s limited to 50 and limited to 5 in size 10? If so, you'll probably be at Sneaker Pimps NYC on 12/4 at St John Center Studios (570 Washington), where sneaker fiends can buy/sell/trade kicks. But if you aren't a sneaker nerd and just like hip hop (present), then you'll probably just swing by the venue to catch a cavalcade of artists like Ghostface Killah, Redman, Sheek Louch with The Lox, Curren$y (who played an Adidas-sponsored event at Highline Ballroom last night), Diggy Simmons, 9th Wonder, and many others. Tickets are on sale.

Ghostface Killah's new album, The Apollo Kids (named after the burner from Supreme Clientele I'm guessing) is due December 14th via Def Jam. He's currently streaming a new song "Together Baby" at the label, and says it will be the first of three new albums coming soon. No release dates for the other two yet, but he says they'll be called Blue & Cream and Supreme Clientele Part II. He last played NYC during CMJ. His next shows are tonight, Friday and Saturday in California (Friday and Saturday are both with Kosha DIllz who also lists December 23rd at Highline Ballroom on his schedule).

And don't forget Ghost, Rae, and the whole Wu will be touring in December and be at Starland Ballroom and Best Buy Theater on 12/23 (tickets) and 12/29 (tickets) respectively.

Raekwon just played Purchase Fall Fest with Death, and we have some more pics from that coming soon. Sneaker Pimps flyer below...

Yellow diamonds in Cam'ron's ears, call them lemonheads
Cam

Cam'ron may be off of the June 26th Sneaker Pimps show, but he is still on for the show at BB Kings happening four days later (Tickets are still available).

Jadakiss (of D-Block) has replaced Killa Cam on the Sneaker Pimps bill, and has one other show scheduled for July 12th in Minneapolis at Epic WITH Cam'ron. Jadakiss recently released the long-delayed LP The Last Kiss as well as JUST released the new D-Block LP No Security. In addition, his cohort in D-Block, Sheek Louch, recently confirmed a new LOX album by the end of this year.

Jadakiss and Sheek Louch's partner in D-Block, Styles P, is scheduled to perform at the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival this weekend at Empire Fulton Ferry State Park in DUMBO. Tickets are still available.

Cam'ron's Crime Pays is out now. Check out a video from "I Hate My Job" by Cam'ron and D-Block's "Get My Paper" below.

Cam'ron cancelled!
Killa!

For those heads in search of those elusive Japan-only Dunks in the green-and-purple checked colorway, prick up your ears, this is a show for you.

Sneaker Pimps is the worlds largest touring sneaker hip-hop lifestyle exhibition featuring over 1500 pairs of rare, limited edition, vintage, celebrity signed, artists collaborated sneakers and a collection of sneaker inspired artwork, fashion and photography. The tour also features live street art installations, live skateboarding demonstrations, street basketball competitions and live hip-hop and rock performances by some of the world's foremost recording artists.
The Sneaker Pimps exhibition will hit eight cities over the next few weeks, the first of which is NYC at Terminal 5 on June 26th. Tickets are on sale .

This has has nothing to do with the trip hop band from the 90s, so why are we reporting on a shoe exhibition? The show will also include a band of hip hop noteables including Big Boi of Outkast (with Sleepy Brown?), Clipse, The Cool Kids, Wale, and the only man cool enough to get away with a pink Range Rover, (Killa!) Cam'ron!

UPDATE: Cam'ron is no longer on the NYC bill, but Ninjasonik, Team Facelift, and "CO HEADLINER TBA" are.

Cam'ron's new album, Crime Pays, is out now. Check out a fascinating interview with Killa Cam where he reveals his status with the Dipset, his thoughts on hip hop beef, and much more. Check that out here.

Big Boi's looooong awaited solo project Sir Luscious Leftfoot: The Son of Chico Dusty, will be released "soon" now that a label dispute with Jive Records has been resolved.

Clipse will be in greater NY this weekend, as the duo has also scheduled an appearance at the EastWest store in Westbury, as well as a show at Club Loaded in Farmingdale. Tickets are still available.

The Cool Kids released their new mixtape, Gone Fishing, a few weeks ago. Get that above. The pair will ALSO be semi-in-the-neighborhood this weekend, as they are slated to appear at the B.O.M.B. Fest in Waterford, CT on June 13th. They are also scheduled to be part of NXNE.

DC's own Wale is about to hit the road, but recently dropped the video for "Chillin" featuring Lady Gaga... who will be touring with Kanye West soon. Check that out below...
