Katy from Vivian Girls in '08: "We also really liked Dead Moon. They're in that new band, what is it? Pierced Arrows. I haven't seen them yet, but I saw Dead Moon like two years ago and it was awesome."Husband and wife duo Fred and Toody Cole of Dead Moon have been playing as Pierced Arrows since 2008, and they're going on monthlong North American tour this fall (with scattered shows before hand, see below). That tour includes a Friday, October 9th show at the Mercury Lounge. Tickets are on sale.
It also includes a NJ show at Maxwell's on Saturday, October 10th. For that gig, the venue also lists Thee Oh Sees as being on the bill. Tickets are also on sale.
The Maxwell's date is an addition to Thee Oh Sees' two other NYC-area dates on their fall tour. They'll also be at Siren Fest this Saturday, July 18th.

Dead Moon called it quits a little over a year ago, after two decades spent churning out raw garage punk from the wooded plains of Clackamas, Oregon. Not that anybody expected Fred and Toody Cole to stay quiet for long. They've returned, louder than ever, under the name Pierced Arrows.
