As you might know, Sondra Sun-Odeon released her new effort Ætherea today, featuring guest appearances from Helena Espvall (Espers), Leyna Marika Papach (JG Thirwell), Ben McConnell (Beach House, Papercuts, Brightblack Morning Light) and others. You can stream the album in its entirety below and order your physical copy via Bandcamp.
Sondra celebrated Ætherea's birth at an album release show at Public Assembly last week (11/14)and if you missed it, there is live video from that performance below as well.
Sondra Sun-Odeon will release her debut LP Ætherea on November 20. Just like the album title suggests, the NYC vocalist/songwriter creates somber yet ethereal compositions that bring to mind moody, late-60s/early-'70s UK folk, as well as more recent artists like Jesse Sykes or Damien Rice. You can help Sun-Odeon celebrate hew new LP next week by attending her record release show at Public Assembly on November 14 where she'll be joined by CC Carana and Bee and Flower. Yosh, the pint-sized terror that leads Bloody Panda, will headline a bill of shadowy beauty at Saint Vitus on March 15th with fragile post-rock from Picastro and the delicate and haunting Sondra Sun-Odeon (who recently impressed while supporting Religious to Damn). Tickets are on sale for this BrooklynVegan-BBG/(((unartig))) production.
Picastro's last outing was last year's Fool, Redeemer, a semi-collaborative split with Nadja that saw the light of day on Alien8 Recordings. Stream all of that split at the label, and check a video of "Hortur" from Whore Luck below, a release that also featured contributions from Xiu Xiu's Jamie Stewart and former member Owen Pallett.

The ethereal and enchanting Religious to Damn teamed with dark ambient duo ITHI and Sondra Sun-Odeon to play Saint Vitus on 1/14 as part of a BrooklynVegan/UN:ART:IG production.
