DOWNLOAD: Freddie Gibbs - "Pull Up" w/ Young Jeezy & T.I. (MP3)
Freddie Gibbs has a new DJ Drama 'Gangsta Grillz' mixtape titled Baby Face Killa on the way which was tentatively scheduled for a Memorial Day release. It looks like that release has been pushed back a bit, but Freddie did just drop a new track to his soundcloud page which will appear on the tape. The song's called "Pull Up" and features help from trap rap greats Young Jeezy and T.I. and production from Lil C. The track flies by at just under three minutes, but that's just enough time for all three rappers to go HAM all over the king of krump's beats. Download an MP3 of the track above or stream it below.
Freddie GIbbs, who appears on Statik Seletak & Termanology's 2012 LP, was just added as an opener to their NYC show which happens on Tuesday (5/29) at SOB's. As mentioned, the show is one of their few release shows for 2012, and will also feature "surprise guests." Tickets for that show are still available. An updated flier, which now includes Freddie GIbbs, is pictured below, along with the "Pull Up" stream and a list of all dates.

Statik Selektah & Termanology (aka 1982) released their second album together this week (5/22) via Showoff/ST. Records. It's the followup to their 2010 LP, which was simply titled 1982, and this one's aptly titled 2012. The album features guest spots from Bun B, Freddie Gibbs, Havoc (of Mobb Deep), Roc Marciano, Lil Fame (of M.O.P.), and more. Statik Selektah's been on a roll with collaborative albums lately (just last year he dropped joint releases with Freddie Gibbs, Action Bronson, Freeway, and Bumpy Knuckles to name a few) and this one's no different. Termanology's conscious raps feel right at home on top of Statik Selektah's beats, which as always, are well grounded in a long history of underground hip hop with an eye on the future. Stream the entire album below, along with the brand new video for "Too Long."
Statik Selektah and Termanology will be celebrating the album with a few release shows, including one in NYC on May 29 at SOB's. Tickets for that show are on sale now.
Meanwhile, Bun B (who is featured on the album) will be throwing a listening party for the album in NYC at Tammany Hall TONIGHT (5/23). The party features music by Statik Selektah and Sammy Needlz, surprise guest performances, and open vodka bar until midnight. Admission is free but RSVP (SHOWOFFRSVP@GMAIL.COM) is required. Doors are at 11 PM. The flier for this show is below.

Nokia Theatre, October 2008
There hasn't been a shortage of Method Man and Redman shows at Nokia Theatre in NYC. They played there over the summer with Ghostface, and did a show there in October of 2008... which Tim took pictures of, but they never saw the light of day. Here they are.
Their next show at the Times Square venue happens tonight (10/29/2009). If you go, get there early because the coolest dude on the bill might just be the dude who plays first on the bill, and that dude is Devin the Dude. Snoop Dogg headlines the show. All dates and more pictures below...

As you would expect him to do at a showcase of rappers signed to his own GOOD Music label, Kanye West made an appearance at Knitting Factory in NYC last night (Sept 9). The whole show went: 88 Keys, Termanology, Big Sean, Mickey Factz, Kid Cudi, and then Consequence. Wale did some deejaying between sets. Kanye West came out during Consequence's set. They did "Gone" and "Flashing Lights" and a few of Consequence's songs. Then, as he's done before with his cousin Consequence, Q-Tip joined them on stage. Then Kid Cudi came back out and eventually pretty much everyone from the night was on stage by the end. As expected, people went nuts for Kanye.
