As mentioned, long-running new wave vets The B-52s are coming to the NYC area for a show at The Capitol Theatre on June 6 (tickets). That show is part of a tour which has just been expanded to included another area date, this time happening in NYC on June 19 Roseland Ballroom. That show is with another '80s veteran, The Go-Gos, and tickets for that one go on Citi Cardmember presale today (3/5) at 10 AM with a general on-sale starting Friday (3/8) at noon. There's also a Live Nation/LN Mobile App presale starting Thursday (3/7) at 10 AM (anyone know the password?).
These shows will be the band's first NYC-area shows since drummer-turned-guitarist Keith Strickland has chosen to no longer tour (he'll continue to be in the band though). He left in December, and The B-52s last played NYC in August.

A couple B-52's related items for your late Friday. First, Fred Schneider will be helping former Bongo Richard Barone celebrate the 25th anniversary of his 1987 solo debut Cool Blue Halo tonight (5/4) at City Winery. Tickets are still available and other guests include Tony Visconti and Garth Hudson.
Secondly, in addition to the amphitheater shows they're doing with Squeeze and other previously mentioned gigs, The B-52's 35th Anniversary Tour will make a stop in NYC at Irving Plaza on August 9. All tour dates are at the bottom of this post.
The B-52s

As mentioned, Squeeze have some upcoming dates in April with The English Beat which include Bergen Performing Arts Center (4/23) in Englewood, NJ (tickets), Roseland Ballroom (4/28) in NYC (tickets), and they've since added another NJ show happening on 4/25 at Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank (tickets).
The English Beat, who as Bill pointed out last year, is really just Dave Wakeling plus other people, has a number of other dates leading up to the Squeeze shows. Those dates include a show at Maxwell's on April 2. Tickets are on sale now.
After the English Beat shows, Squeeze will be hooking up with the B-52s in June and July as part of the B-52s' 35th anniversary tour. Those shows include Morristown, NJ (7/10), Atlantic City, NJ (7/13), Canandaigua, NY (7/14), and Westbury, NY (7/15). All dates and venues are listed below. The B-52s also play their own show at Bergen Performing Arts Center in Englewood, NJ on 8/8.
In other new wave news, Dexys Midnight Runners (the UK version of The Beat includes a former Dexys member), who originally reunited in 2003, are set to release their first album since 1985's Don't Stand Me Down. The new album (which is being released under the name Dexys) is called One Day I'm Going To Soar. Check out the single, "Nowhere Is Home," and a recent BBC interview/feature, below. The Dexys already have shows scheduled in Europe. "The performances will be made up of the entire new album {One Day Im Going To Soar}, in sequence, followed by a few Dexys favourites."
