16 yr old Jamie Lynn Spears isn't the only one

Popstar, tabloid favourite, chat show host. Lily Allen will soon be able to add mother to that list after the singer confirmed she is pregnant with her first child.A spokesman for the 22-year-old said the pregnancy was at a "very, very early stage" and confirmed the father is Allen's boyfriend Ed Simons, one half of the Chemical Brothers.
Allen, whose single Smile went to number one last summer, has spoken on numerous occasions about her desire to start a family and leave music behind, in some accounts by the age of 25. She recently told the Sunday Times: "I'd like to live in the country and have a walled garden, and chickens and pigs."
As well as confirming the pregnancy, however, Allen's spokesman said that her second album, the follow-up to 2006's Alright, Still, would be released next year as originally planned.
Simons, 37, and Allen have been together since September of this year and are said to be "thrilled" by the news.[Guardian]
The Chemical Brothers in the UK - May 31, 2007(CRED)

I loved Simian Mobile Disco's live fiasco last weekend at Fixed. I couldn't help but think of how much they reminded me of the Chemical Brothers: 2 dudes, 1 with crazy hair, a bunch of gear, not much movement behind the gear, and an obsession with acid house and crazy breakbeats. That being said, we are a few weeks away from kicking off a 1997 "electronica" revival series with US tours by Daft Punk, Underworld, and now the Chemical Brothers.
The Chemical Brothers are playing Hammerstein Ballroom on Friday Sept 21st. Tickets are on sale. They aren't cheap, but I promise its worth it. Simian Mobile Disco are playing some more shows too. And oh yeah, JUSTICE.
Dance is back and brothers gonna work it out.

Big surprise, but we just got official word that the Rapture and the Ed Banger crews are planning afterparties for the Daft Punk shows in some of the cities they hit this summer. The after party will feature the Rapture DJs and the available Ed Banger 'eds (Busy P, Sebastian, & Kavinsky), the dates are below. As soon as I get venue info, I'll pass it along. Don't count on Daft Punk playing James Murphy's house here in Brooklyn - I did hear he asked though...
The Wurst Edits Boat Party is Friday night and you can have yourself a nautical little evening. After you are done taking in the Citysol show at South Street Seaport, hustle up to 23rd and FDR and hop on the boat. The cruise is 18 & up and $15 tickets are available until 10 pm Friday night via Ticketweb - then walk up tix are $25. The boat opens at 11:00 and we sail at midnight. The Wurst Edits DJs My Cousin Roy and Jacques Renault will be keeping the Loveboat a groovin until we dock at 3 am - just enough to go home, sleep, wake up, and then and hit Citysol again.
Here's a chance for you to get on the boat for free. We are giving away a pair of tickets to the Wurst Boat Party to a randomly selected seaman or seawoman who emails BVCONTESTS@HOTMAIL.COM (subject: BOAT) with your favorite boat name. "Aquaholic" doesn't count.
