Interpol played new song "Barricade" last night (7/29) on the Late Show with David Letterman. The same song appeared in their set list five days earlier at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT (one of their not-cancelled smaller July shows). One night after they appeared at Webster Hall, Broken Social Scene played a show at the smaller Music Hall of Williamsburg over in Brooklyn with their Arts & Crafts label-mates Zeus...

The band's next NYC show will hold more people than Webster Hall and Music Hall combined. It takes place at Central Park Summerstage aka Rumsey Playfield on September 18th (tickets). If you want a more intimate experience head up to Toad's Place in New Haven, CT where they play two days after that, or Theatre of the Living Arts in Philly where they're appearing on September 14th. Yeasayer will be playing Bowery Ballroom on Monday, February 8th and Music Hall of Williamsburg on Tuesday, Feb. 9th. Tickets go on AmEx presale Wednesday, November 18th at noon. General sale starts Friday at noon.
The shows will coincide with the release of Yeasayer's new CD, Odd Blood, on February 9th through Secretly Canadian. They recently put up the record's first single, "Ambling Alp," as a free download. It's also posted below, and you can grab an official remix by Memory Tapes above.
Recent shows for the band included Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin and Novemeber 14th at Toad's Place in New Haven, CT. Videos from both those shows are below as well...
