Tom Tom Club released their latest EP, Downtown Rockers, earlier this year and have just made a video for "Kissing Antonio" from that record. The clip was a collaborative effort from current students at Rhode Island School of Design, which, you may know, is where Chris Frantz and Tina Weymouth met David Byrne and formed Talking Heads back in the mid-'70s. Nice to see them giving back. We've got the premiere of the video below.
If you'd like to catch Tom Tom Club in person, the band (who recently played Brooklyn Bowl) will open for Toots & the Maytals at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on Friday (12/7) which doubles as a party for Toots' 70th birthday. Tickets are still available.

There's a listening party for Toro Y Moi's forthcoming album, Anything in Return, happening at Project Parlor in Bed-Stuy. It's from 5 - 10 PM and features an art installation from Chaz (who is Toro Y Moi) with drawings for all 13 tracks on the new LP. It's free and complimentary drinks will be served.

The 14th annual Voodoo Music & Arts Experience happens from October 26 - 28 at City Park in New Orleans. Among the 70+ acts at this year's fest are Jack White, Green Day, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, Skrillex, Justice, Silversun Pickups, Thomas Dolby, Die Antwoord, The Dirty Dozen Brass, and Bootsy Collins. Tickets are on sale with a variety of options as is the usual with festivals these days.

Reggae legends Toots and the Maytals are touring non-stop through the end of July, and they're coming to Brooklyn twice this summer. They play Brooklyn Bowl on July 19 and 25. Tickets are on sale now for both shows (July 19 and July 25). The 7/19 show will opened by Lukas Nelson and the 7/25 show by Fear Nuttin' Band.
Toots' tour ends 7/31 at Hollywood Bowl, but they are also scheduled to play Jam Cruise in early 2012. All dates are listed below.
Toots and the Maytals broke up in the early 1980s, but reunited in the '90s and have been together ever since. Toots' current band features himself (Frederick "Toots" Hibbert) on lead vocals along with Leba Thomas-Backup Vocal, Marie "Twiggi" Gitten-Backup Vocal, Paul Douglas-Percussion, Carl Harvey-Lead Guitar, Jackie Jackson-Bass, Radcliffe "Dougie" Bryan-Rhythm Guitar, Charles "The Bulge" Farquarson-Keyboard, and Norris "Computer" Webb-Keyboard. Last year, they released the album Flip and Twist which you can order from their website, along with a joint-shaped USB drive loaded with the full album (pictured above).

Pete Seeger @ Clearwater Festival 2009 (more by Chris La Putt)
Clearwater Festival, the annual benefit for the Hudson River environmental group of the same name, will be happening this year at Croton-on-Hudson's Croton Point Park on June 19th & 20th. Pete Seeger, the non-profit's founder, plays every year - joining him this year will be Steve Earle, Rhett Miller, Joan Osborne, Buckwheat Zydeco, Felice Bros and more. A bit farther Upstate in Hunter, NY, the three-day Mountain Jam will be happening June 4th-6th. The lineup for that includes Gov't Mule, Levon Helm & Friends, Drive-By Truckers, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, The Avett Brothers, Dr. Dog, Les Claypool, Jay Farrar (of Son Volt), These United States, Justin Townes Earle (note dad, playing above) and Tao Rodriguez-Seeger Band (the same, except grandpa). Later this summer (in July), Camp Bisco will be in Mariaville, NY.
